Dynamic queue is actually about to bring me to quit playing league. I still enjoy playing the game most days, and I definitely still have the drive to go for another run at NACS/LCS, but the ranked system is just garbage for higher elo. I am busy with school most weekdays, and I have to get my work done before nighttime hits because I know won't retain anything if I do it in the dead hours of night. The problem is, playing league at night in higher MMR brackets is ****ing miserable.
1. I can either queue Jungle primary and either Top/Mid/Bot as secondary and wait anywhere from 10-25 minutes for the queue to pop, or I can queue Jungle/Fill, and get support at least 60-70% of the time, with queues from 5-10 minutes. I will generally queue Jungle and something other than fill just because playing support most of the time doesn't really accomplish much, (or interest me) but this doesn't guarantee I get jungle, and even when I do, there isn't any guarantee that I'll be able to learn anything from it because of how variable games can be in S6 meta. The whole process of "improving" by playing in a higher MMR bracket is inefficient as ****. In the past, queues popped in anywhere from 1-5 minutes except in higher master/chall, and I got jungle 80-90% of the time off solely name recognition and saying "jg pref." Nowadays I don't even think I get it 50% of the time.
2. Matchmaking at anything other than peak hours is usually godawful. In d2/d1 mmr, I can end up anywhere from full d5/platinum games, to getting queued into a 5 man challenger squad who have waited 40 minutes in queue to take my LP in 15. There is nothing more soul-crushing than waiting 25 minutes to get put on support while you watch a bunch of D5 morons flail around until the game ends and you see -25.
I still enjoy coaching, (most of the time) playing normals with friends, and watching LCS/LPL/LCK, but whenever I get motivated to go practice, I get this **** thrown at me and it goes away on the spot. I don't have a real alternative either.

And here I was thinking about playing again.
Nvm.
Edit: For clarity, I actually haven't played the game for about 4-5 months now. I let my friend use it to smurf to lower Elos, hence that nice and ****ty Silver badge next to my name.

That's only in high Elo though. Playing from everywhere between unranked-Diamond 3 I haven't noticed absolutely any difference from last season's solo queue. Except I can play with friends when I want to.
Also queue times are longer but that doesn't matter when you can just kill time watching Netflix or something while you wait for the queue to pop.

The queue times themselves are w/e to wait through, I have stuff to pass the time. The thing is, when I play in 2 hour spurts and I get like 1 game in, it just blows.
