But hey, I found some artwork that should clarify things for people.
Well, they do refer to
Rek'Sai as female in her lore, so there should be no confusion about it, then again, no one reads the lore :v

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
I realize that
Rek'Sai being some random species means we don't know what males and females look like, but Rek'sai pretty much goes against the precedent of League making the gender obvious one way or another. I can't remember if Anivia is obviously female from her figure, but you can tell she's female just from her name. Nidalee's cougar form isn't obviously female, but you know from the human form that she's obviously female. Rengar's a lion or something and he's obviously male from his voice, name and arguably figure, Warwick is obviously male, etc. You can easily tell the gender of each champion pretty quickly, because that's how Riot does things, there's no confusion in the identity of each champion.
And then there's
Rek'Sai, the one champion in the League that looks like a male by League standards, and has a name that sounds male... but she's female. There's nothing pointing to it, no one getting into League would see Rek'sai and think there was any doubt that she was anything other than male. But she isn't, she's female. And we only know this because they say so.
Obviously most species irl don't look male or female, both look the same, but this isn't real life, League has a variety of ways to make the gender of each champion obvious, and they do make use of them. Rek'sai is just their one time exception where they make absolutely no obvious detail that points to her being a female, and yet she is, probably just so they could go "actually iz grill hehe". Even the name "Rek'sai" just sounds to me like it's a lot more likely to be masculine than feminine, so from what I can see it just seems more logical for
Rek'Sai to be male.
You can't really fault anyone for mistakenly referring to her as "he" when as far as I can tell there's no clues pointing to her femininity, but things ranging from her appearance to her name to her theme all point towards her more likely being male, even if that's only because of the preconception of all evil voidy beasts are males.
They could have just named her something like "Rek'sora" and it would be more obvious, but as it is it really does just look like they introduced a completely male looking champion and said "nope, actually iz grill hehe xd".
Not that there's a problem with that, but again, can't fault anyone for mistaking her gender. :^) I wouldn't bother correcting anyone on it anyway since it seems like a pointless detail.

@Vapora I feel like the name is pretty gender neutral, but I guess a lot of gender neutral names get slotted as male by default, so fair enough. I just hate it, as a person who regularly doesn't dress feminine and sometimes feels more comfortable not looking feminine at all, when people act like you have to look super ****ing feminine to be "female" and anything less than that makes you, by default, male.

Well, Cho Gath is pretty useless if you somehow falls behind, and trust me, there are enough champions who give him a hard time. I am actually quite surprised that
Nasus player didn't trash you, but then again, he rushed a
Frozen Heart, so what can I say, lol...
Completely off topic, I love your Baldur's Gate profile pic ^^

I'm surprised someone recognised it was from BG... o.0 I thought I was the only person in this world that plays both Baldur's Gate and league.
Oh, and I always, ALWAYS make that same stupid mistake about Rek'Sai, lol. It's like what vupura dronk said in his last post, and besides that I always forget.
