I've seen a lot of transcendence and gathering storm, but forgotten project recommends bone plating and overgrowth. Which one is better? Bone plating and overgrowth give more livability. While transcendence gives CDR, which is great for her abilities. Also, gathering storm gives more scaling and more power late game, giving her great dualing potential at around 20 or 30 mins, which is great for low elo, since games last longer. At around 20 mins, the sorcery runes give you around 756 gold of stats, while the resolve runes give you something i don't know. Both seem really good, but which is better?

Hello,I really like Blade of the Ruined King on Fiora rather than Ravenous Hydra. Can you try it aswell? With new BotRK, you start destroying everything after botrk and trinity. Can you add a build like this too?

Hi.
As Fiora I always have mid-late game mana problems... sometimes I get Blue buff when I'm fed but I'd like to know what's your suggestion to solve mana hungry problems. I've been thinking of using over or over . Which one do you think is better?

Hi! I'm a Fiora main on EUW with 180k~ mastery points on her, however I'm still stuck in Gold V. Anyway, I've seen the build paths but more often than not I found myself rushing Trinity regardless of my enemy. Ravenous Hydra is of course still a core item but I get it after Trinity. With Fiora, before going all-in I like to whittle my enemy down a bit by poking their vitals and deal good damage thanks to Spellblade proc, and even though you can't activate it quite often, you almost always have it up and ready for your next Lunge and the power spike with it is pretty good. The attack speed is also beneficial while pushing and fighting as well.

Compared to Black Cleaver Trinity has less flat AD, but makes it up well with Lunge's Spellblade procs, only a little more health bonus, and armor penetration which I don't quite believe fits Fiora's kit. Of course her damage is mainly physical, but proc'ing vitals and going all-in with ult make the enemy take a good amount of True Damage, so I don't feel Black Cleaver is a perfectly good pick for Fiora. 30% armor pen is sure good, but that's only if we attack 6 times, and small skirmishes and, at the best case scenario, proc'ing and entire ult only nets 4-5 stacks of Black Cleaver. The item is amazing for champions who deal damage constantly, like Darius' bleeds and Garen's E.

I mean I'm doing something somewhere wrong, I know it. That's why I'm still in Gold V, but I can't quite place my finger on where the fault lies. I mostly get Trinity, boot upgrade, Ravenous Hydra, then 2 more defensive items depending on the enemy team and finishing with Sterak's.

Beautiful guide with the good matchup explanations!

Hello Mrgreenleaf,

Thank you for your feedback! I hope you enjoyed the guide. Though I regret not having finished the matchup descriptions yet due to finals coming up. But after finals, I'm sure I'll have all of them done quickly.

Anyway, for your build order, instead of building Sterak's Gage last item, you should go for a more damaging item such as Maw of Malmortius, Youmuu's Ghostblade or Death's Dance. Since you already have Trinity Force in your build, you will have very little AD if you choose to build Sterak's Gage. While both items have synergy due to Sterak's Gage increasing the damage of the sheen proc, it is not enough to compensate for the damage of the late game scalings from Fiora, whose passive, Q and E can benefit from more AD rather than relying on the sheen proc.

Also, damage items work best when built first instead of as an last item. Hence I would suggest building three damage items before going for the defensive items. However, if you find yourself behind in the mid game, you should just skip the third damage item to go for a defensive item such as Guardian Angel.

As for Black Cleaver, Fiora can very easily gather 6 stacks of Black Cleaver with Q, AA, E1, RH, E2, AA. The item does not only benefit you, but also for your AD teammates, who can also benefit from the armor shred. The item also gives more AD compared to Trinity Force, which can increase your damage from passive, Q, E and ult.

But ultimately, it all comes down to practicing, just play more games, identify your mistakes and you can easily improve. Good luck in climbing.

The reason I take only 2 damage items is I feel like Fiora gets targeted a lot and needs the defensive stats to survive long enough to eliminate priority targets. In a standart game I pick up Deadman's Plate, Spirit Visage and Sterak. With these I still have enough damage to kill my target and get out in time before the team collapses on me, or I can tank enough damage while killing people with True Damage.

I'll give Black Cleaver and a third damage item another chance, but after playing so many games with the same pattern it all just feels weird.

Thanks for the reply!
