Think that will work to, no need for massive groups but a bit more dynamic chat is always more handy for idea exchange, having to search the forum through 9 posts which basicly means after that you need to get to the next or previous page is not very usefull (because of the signatures and size of the posts despite possible little content).

if you really want to use chat for this, i'll easily get you an IRC (private or public) channel setup on quakenet, with all the proper modes / protection / admin rights / mods

i wouldn't recommend any other chat thing, they all look bad, and IRC is easy to use and can be access through web clients / ipods as well.
Jet has been banned for trolling and blatant racism.

Regardless of what we use, chat is just better than vent or forums.

History is the fiction we invent to persuade ourselves that events are knowable and that life has order and direction. That's why events are always reinterpreted when values change. We need new versions of history to allow for our current prejudices.

I have a teamspeak 3 server that i host for a different site (Its for league of legends too (Not too popular)) We could use that for voice chat.

We could just use chatango.com or a regular c-box. Or we could just create an offsite forum for chatting or something (using proboards/zetaboards etc.) Just about as easy to do that then to code a chatbox.
