Edit: Another question though, I noticed your runes on the upper part are different from the ones in the guide itself. Which option is the most effective? Also I am guessing presence of mind isn't worth it on Zed?
These are literally my stats for the season, I've been playing almost nothing but Zed.
CDR isn't tremendously important on Zed because he's severely gated by energy anyway. I will say though that I'd forgotten to swap Merc Treads for Ionians because Ionians are just super good right now, and I've updated the build for that now, but that's about the only change that can be made to the build in regards to CDR. You don't want to build mediocre items just because they give CDR. Zed is not as CDR dependent as other champions to the point that the existence of CDR alone on an item makes it good on him.
I maintain though that Living Shadow is generally the most optimal spell to take at level 2, since E is worthless against ranged enemies as you can't hit them. It's not just my personal opinion either since most pros almost always take W at level 2.
However, it is viable to take E at level 2 if you're last-hitting under tower and need the CS'ing help, or if you're in a melee matchup where you can easily hit Shadow Slash on your enemy. I did forget to mention this so I'll add it in right now.
Also, Shadow Slash isn't an auto-attack reset. An auto-attack reset is a spell that once your auto-attack is done will immediately make your auto-attack repeat, imitating having high attack speed for 1 auto-attack. Shadow Slash works completely independently of auto-attacks, you can do it mid auto-attack, at the beginning of the auto-attack or at the end of the auto-attack, it will never interrupt anything but it also won't cause your next auto-attack to come faster.
Edit: Guide editing is bugged right now, can't publish any changes. Update to taking Zed E at level 2 will have to wait. :/
