I Just started playing League of Legends again not to long ago, and I have always loved playing 3v3 but I never had the right people to play it with till now. I Had way to many bad games in 3v3 during season two of via getting stuck with a pre-made who would flame everything I did and would guarantee two reports against me every game, I never got a warning but after the 3rd game getting told " we're going to report you" got old fast, and my stats were like 4-4-6 I was like nope not going to play this solo queue ever. I'm not to sure but I think way back in the day the most toxic players were into 3v3 at least from my experiences with it.
So I never really got to play it much till I found other people who wanted to play it and no just play SR every single game, and I think it's a blast, a very way different meta small map, faster rounds and I can actually play some of the champions that I want to play again.
To this I day I still never solo queue it just on the off chance I get matched with duo who will pick apart everything I do to justify their own mistakes it's never fun getting flamed by two people who are obviously on Skype or discord together expecting you to jump in on a play your can't hear them talking about. So I only duo or full pre-made which I think is the best way to play this mode.
and 3v3 is probably the easiest/funnest way to get into gold for the end of seasons rewards if you find the right people to play it with.
But to sum it up I think it's a great game mode, but not nearly as polished as SR and will never be taken as serious as 5V5 so for me it always be more of a fun way to blow of steam with a group of friends kind of mode then a serious play to win mode

I really like the fact that games are faster paced and tend to end way sooner than ones on Summoner's Rift. The one thing that has really surprised me is that team comps matter A LOT more on Twisted Treeline; you can literally win the game in champion select sometimes. Also, the champion pool that you can efficiently play on that map is reduced, but I have no quarrels with that since it aligns with champions I tend to play already (
Ziggs, for instance). Team play is also way more important, some mistakes are really unforgiving and the game feels a lot more snowball-y, although even if you have an enormous lead, you can lose the game if you die in a bad team fight.
I also think the best way to play 3v3's is with pre-mades, but in my case that isn't always possible, so I'm glad they added Flex Q. And some folk don't really take TT seriously enough, so they end up feeding hard and not joining fights, ultimately losing the game (though this is probably a problem that shows less and less the higher you climb).

I never played 3v3 much (probably only a dozen games over the past 5 years) but back in the day (season 2, 3) I loved playing dominion for the same reasons you like 3v3. It was more casual, a lot faster and I just found it more fun than SR at the time, where I had to tryhard to play well and where there was a lot more toxicity. Dominion got removed as a permanent game mode some time ago, I don't remember when. Though I had stopped playing it regularly a long time ago, I was still sad to see it go just because it wasn't quite as popular as SR.
That being said, I tried playing it again recently when it was on the game mode rotation thing and.. yikes. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

Drug as in it makes you remember things as good, when in reality they were bad? I personally think there is some seriously broken sh*t on Twisted Treeline (

EDIT: I am now fairly sure you were referring to Crystal Scar.

I actually really liked Dominion, but, ****, almost no one understood how to play it. I thought it was pretty obvious (capture at least three points, then hold onto them), but it's always clear when it comes back into the rotation that no one gets it.
I've been playing a few TT normals with 2 premades lately. It's been a fun experience! A lot more than the painful experience earlier this year that just ended up in stranding in bronze and tilting. I guess it really matters a lot who you play with as you're so on top of each-other all the time in TT. (very different from the top lane island I usually play on)
EDIT: That said, I still have no idea how it works. What do you play? I usually play a tank at bot (
Tahm Kench) and my friends play an adc supp combo at top lane, farming the jungle at the same time. Works pretty well if we manage to survive early game.

********'s a pretty good fertilizer

It is a change of atmosphere, the meta is different and the way you play changes quite a bit. I personally find it highly entertaining and way more enjoyable than Summoner's Rift after having played a couple games. And although right now every single team mate I have encountered has no clue how Twisted Treeline is played, I am fairly sure that problem will go away as I climb the ranks.
What about you, what's your opinion on TT?
