I am getting is as many PBE games as I can so look to find the updated guide here soon! :)
Although I am looking in to the rework now a lot more at the moment to be honest! ^^
Thanks for reading my guide.
First of all that is an interesting question you ask, because in my opinion it depends most on what your preferences are. I can definitely see him performing well in both the jungle role as in the support role.
If you really like playing support, and want to focus on providing crowd control and peel you should stay as a support.
If you prefer to have a little more impact across the map instead of just in the bottom lane (and perhaps mid if you can get a roam in) you can 100% play Fiddlesticks very effectively in the jungle.
As to his dueling: it is true that he isn't the best at going 1 VS 1 in the jungle, but that also depends on how well you know your champion and the enemy champion. Your power to fight depends mainly on your abilities and being able to Bountiful Harvest the enemy champion to stall for time. So if you know that you are playing against an enemy champion that has crowd control to interrupt your Bountiful Harvest all you have to do is bait out his crowd control before starting to Bountiful Harvest.
So it comes down to this: if you want to start climbing it is best to have as much impact as possible and that is going to be in the jungle. You will be able to influence all lanes and secure as much objectives as possible for your team. However, if you are not comfortable playing jungle, or you have a hard time reading the map I would advise to stick to support and just work to get your AD carry as far ahead as possible every game. This can get you a win just as easy.
Hope this answer is of any use to you! ^^

Kaji

Taste of Blood and Ravenous Hunter can absolutely be an option if you want the increased sustain.
This, combined with maxing Bountiful Harvest will increase your sustain and survivability for sure, but it will take away some of your damage.
Personally I wouldn't go this route because of the fact that Reap and Terrify offer much more value, but that is more because of my personal preferences. Your idea is certainly valid.
Greetings,
Kaji.
First let me thank you for the comment and the kind words.
I am very glad you liked that guide and that it was able to help you improve your game.
Let's hope you can keep getting those S ranks in a lot of games! I'll be rooting for you.
Greetings,
~ Kaji ~
First of all thank you so much for the comment!
I am very glad you liked my guide and that you learned something by reading it.
Now about your question:
Dark Harvest isn't a very good choice on Fiddlesticks in my opinion because it takes a way too much of your early game power compared to Arcane Comet and it doesn't offer the utility of let's say Glacial Augment.
Before it got nerfed it was an option of course, because it was broken on every champion back then.
But as of right now I am afraid it wouldn't feel very good.
My advise: wait for another Dark Harvest buff before taking it on our favorite scarecrow!
Greetings,
~ Kaji! ~
Glad that you liked it.
You do them, into blue and gromp at the same time. This makes it so you have just enough mana for the entire blue side.
Another plus to doing the e start is that you have blue buff after 3 camps are cleared. So you have more benefit of the blue buff to try and make a gank or even an invade happen. ^^
You no longer get level 3 after these 3 camps, so is it really still a preferable start?
Hope this answer was helpful for you my friend! ^^
Means a lot coming from someone who wrote so many awesome guides himself! :D
But as far as going into Resolve as a primary path goes, it certainly is viable.
As Fiddlesticks you tend to be very squishy, and as a support it takes so long to get to strong AP items. So if you take Resolve as your primary path you can increase your durability pretty well.
If you want to go Resolve, I'd recommend these runes:
Hope you got the answer you were looking for. ^^
If you have more wuestions, feel free to ask!
Or not so much?
But to say it would be an option... I feel like the 4 rune paths I describe in this guide are the most optimal ones.
There's of course no problem if you'd like to try these runes on jungle Fiddlesticks, but my recommendations are still the rune pages included in the guide! ^^
Had a lot of fun and success with it, but I was wondering if you could blend in a chapter on the tankier runes you mentioned here.
I'd like some more information about that before I try them out! ^^
Could you maybe include a guide for that?
Because I've been seeing a lot of Fiddlesticks support recently and I wanted to try it as well. ^^
Because I feel like it might get confusing if there's a jungle and a support section in one guide.
It looks different from last time I consulted it.
If you did, good job man!
Now the content and the lay-out are both super good!
Keep up the improvements man, very nice work. :)
Nice work indeed, it looks a lot easier to read now to. :)
I really appreciate the votes of confidence! :D
I took my time with it though, because I wanted it to be exactly the way I wanted it to be.
Before it was indeed a little bit chaotic, making it somewhat harder to read.
Most of that should be solved now though. ^^
If there are any suggestions, feel free to tell me because I am still up for improvements!
I was happy with the content, but not so much with the way it looked.
So I went and checked out a lot of guides to learn some more about the coding for writing guides! ^^
There are some really useful guides out there.
I'm glad you noticed it and that you like it.
Thanks for the comment man!
I also think that your level progression is wrong, you cannot have a skill maxed before lvl 9! And you can have Q maxed by 13. Also there is no need for Q level 2, you will clear a lot slower and you don't fear damage thanks to Bountiful Harvest. I think you mean something like this:
Also i still prefer to start with E and do Wolves > Blue + Gromp, this way you will be level 3 at around 2.10 (that's the faster level 3 in LoL! Probably only beaten by a double pull Shaco) and can gank bot/top/mid in the blink of an eye (solo laners are still at lvl 2)! This is a video to show the clear:Fiddle lvl 3 2:12 (if you hit the Big Wolf 3 times with E you can save smite for blue) taken from this Google Sheet.
The abilities order can be like this:
W max at 9:
You can check some useful data here:Fiddle on LoLalytics
It's pretty complete and thorough!
Last but not least: what do you think about Glacial Augment ? You can slow right from the start when you gank pre-6 (Q-E-aa-W) and the AoE slow from Everfrost it's massive: the duration (5s), the area and effectivness (60%) are all really strong. This let you start with Lost Chapter as your first back item, it will give AP, a lot of mana regen and CDR; this will translate in a Everfrost later on. So the path would be: Lost Chapter -> Stalker's Blade - Runic Echoes -> Zhonya's Hourglass -> Everfrost.
That's all for the moment! Thank you for the guide, keep up with it!
About the jungling section: I am working on that, I have recorded some of my Fiddlesticks games and when I find some free time, I am going to extract some videos from them.
The chapter about the matchups is in progress and should be released one of these days!
Thanks for noticing the skill leveling, I got so caught up in the items and runes that I completely missed that part.
You are right about the q level 2, I usually go e because it helps clear the camps so much faster. I'll make sure to correct this immediately.
About Glacial Augment: I haven't tried it before but it might be worth giving it a try. I can absolutely see it working, it's like Morgana support taking it for the increased slow. I'll give it a try in some games, if it feels worth taking, I'll make sure to include this in the guide!
Again, thank you very much for the comment!
I am still learning a lot about writing guides, I haven't been at it for very long, so every bit of feedback is more than welcome.
Also, if you didn't, try to max E first, the clear is on another level!
If you need some help with the coding part, I can spare some time to help you :)
On a last note, Nunu played right is a real pain in the ***, apart from the fast start that you can pull to level 3 faster than anyone, Fiddlesticks is a slow clearer and Nunu can counterjungle you a lot, making you starve to death! He can steal your camp faster than you think and most of the time he will come where you are farming and steal the camps while you're doing them... You can fear and silence him, but he will eat+smite the camp and gtfo faster than light. I have a 75% WR with him at the moment (in normal) and I assure you he's the bane of all the slow junglers
EDIT: Forgot that W let your E hit the target every other bounch, making E the best damage spell for ganking, since most of the time the enemy will not stay in your tether range.
But still, I do believe that a really good Nunu & Willump player can absolutely be annoying against [[fiddlesticks[[. Because I have played against a few of those and it makes you want to throw your pc out of the window!
Lately I have been leveling my abilities a little bit different since then last changes to Fiddlesticks, but I am still testing this.
I start with Bountiful Harvest lvl 1, then going Reap lvl 2, Terrify lvl3.
At lvl 4 I put one more point in Bountiful Harvest, because from lvl 2 it heals you instead of keeping you even on health when you drain a camp like raptors.
From then on I start maxing Reap and Terrify. I only finish Bountiful Harvest at the later levels.
So far it does feel really good, but I am not quite sure of it yet. I still need to play some more games like this. But the Reap max is absolutely not a bad idea.
About the coding: the thing I can't figure out is how to make decent tables. That would make the pro/con chapter a lot more appealing in my opinion. But when I read the guides about how to do it I get lost halfway.
