What is said skin. I hope it won't be super expensive to get this skin, like $100 to get the points to make it.
Well currently there is sivir, aatrox and pyke, they take a hundred each and those points are decently expensive.I think it would be 13k rp along with a ton of specific capsules for 80 prestige points. So yea, decently pricy
Only the Aatrox skin will have the prestige chroma (with a splash art chroma too!!) but it will cost about $150 worth of RP. I think the Vayne skin will be obtainable through grinding and a bit of cash (for the Lunar pass) but then the rest of the prestige skins (Aatrox onwards) are going to be much 'rarer', by which I mean you are going to have to drop bank to get them. Unless they change something; people are pretty upset so I hope they will.

Sounds like it's the same business model as gemstone skins. Take an average 750 RP skin and bump up the price to ridiculous levels, creating artificial value from artificial rarity.
It's a shame they're going for the scam artistry route. Right now only 20-ish champions have a legendary skin and even among those only half are an actual upgrade to the champion. So there is *massive* demand for good skins so they could just be working on that for years.
But nah, gotta get that free lunch selling 100 buck palette changes.

TL;DR: Starting in 9.1, we’re introducing a different type of prestige skin that stays in the store until the end of the year and is unlockable with new Prestige Points.
The skins team has a bunch of ideas for future prestige versions of skins, so we are experimenting with another way for us to release these skins throughout the year without limiting them to events. So we’re keeping event-specific prestige skins, but adding yearly prestige edition skins, which are craftable for 100 Prestige Points each. These 2019 yearly prestige skins will release throughout the year until they all expire on January 31, 2020, at 11:59 PM PT.
We’re planning to continue using a gold-and-white color palette to keep Prestige Edition skins instantly recognizable. But we’ll still experiment with other accent colors to mix things up as needed.
Prestige Points come from bundles with Masterwork Chests (there will be three of these bundles available at launch), and we’re looking to add more ways for you to get Prestige Points in the future. Unlike Gemstones, there’s no random factor to Prestige Points, so you’ll always know how close you are to getting the prestige skin you want. The 2019 Prestige Points will expire from Masterwork Chest bundles on December 31, 2019, at 11:59 PM PT.
Happy collecting!
