I never center my camera whenever I do a combo specifically for preference reasons. I presume the Azir players you speak of have learned to do this through practice. Otherwise, there could be macros that allow the camera to stick on you while you combo.

Within the confines of solo queue Conquerer is a solid rune choice. Lethal Tempo and Arcane comet are used specifically because of the high caliber gameplay of master+. Teams will center their team compositions around Azir and force Front to Back teamfights to Utilize Azir's amazing damage that comes from Lethal Tempo or poke from Arcane Comet. However, Conquerer has its own benefits. Its an amazing all around rune because Conquerer never has a downtime. You can always proc Conquerer. In solo queue (depending on the elo) your team won't always peel for you, and Lethal Tempo and Arcane Comet lose value because of that alone. Conquerer allows Azir to stack his damage quickly and gain lifesteal that he wouldn't have otherwise.

As @ ROENsp said, Ludens helps with mana management while nashors' attack speed is vital for azir's gameplay. I, personally, recommend Ludens for <50 games played for azir, as he usually runs out of mana with bad management. However, once you get the feel of how much mana everything costs and how to manage it, then I recommend Nashors for 50+ games played.

The Ludens and Nashors first item rush has been debated for a long time. However, it is all opinion. Luden's provides extra mana and burst which helps newer players with mana management at the cost of attack speed which is vital for Azir. Nashors provides the better powerspike as a first item because all of its stats greatly pair with Azir's kit. It is honestly all preference on what you build depending on playstyle, matchup, or rune choice.
