If I'm being completely honest, when I first started using this build in a game, I wasn't expecting much. If you're expecting this build to win you Challenger level games, then you're mistaken.

What this build IS good for is you're the only carry on your team, and your teams only hope for victory. If your game tends to drag on for an extended amount (lower elos), this build MAKES SURE that Darius won't fall off. You sacrifice slight mid game viability for an immensely powerful late game. After using the build, the damage you deal is absolutely insane. I would go as far as saying it's complete OVERKILL, but it insures you're your teams PRIMARY source of damage. You DO NOT need your passive activated in order to deal damage. The damage you deal with this build is equivalent to the damage you'll typically deal with Noxian Might activated. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to learn a fun guide that's 100 percent viable.

I am not going to stand there and allow players who don't know better to be misled.

This build is FUN. That is it. It has no value if your goal is to win. It is NOT good for what you described there at all. IT IS NOT VIABLE.

The only situations it might work in are:
A) in SUPER low elo when you are smurfing where you can make any build work because you are so aheaed.
B) when you are so fed that it doesn't even matter what you build.

Whats in common with both of these cases?
You have a massive advantage already that lets you go for an asinine build without throwing the whole game. And even then, with this build, if you die, you get put SO far behind. Like at least with a tank build you have SOME use to your team. If you feed with a damage build, you are essentially solo losing the game.

This build won't win Challenger games. It won't win games at Platinum either. Or even at Gold when ur up against people who ARENT autofilled.

DARIUS IS NOT DESIGNED TO BE THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF DAMAGE ON HIS TEAM. HE IS NOT A DPS CHARACTER.

You have SITUATIONAL damage. The situation being either you getting 5 stacks, or you finding someone low HP to ult/having access to enemy backline. (by the way with Trifoce->Sterak's, your E-AA-W-Q-R combo is already enough to oneshot MOST squishy backliners.) You do not have the safety to be your team's DPS.

People build tanky on Darius because you need to be tanky enough to use your passive properly. When you go damage like this, you are only weakening yourself. You need to be tanky enough to survive in a teamfight UNTIL you can get your 5 stacks/survive long enough to find someone with low HP.

Imagine you get your Noxian Might and you are vs a fed Syndra. Without enough tank items, she'll oneshot you regardless of how much damage you can do because YOU ARE NOT TANKY. But if you do have tank items, you might survive long enough to reach her and kill her.

By the way, when your ENTIRE TEAM is feeding its even MORE important to go tank straight after your core, NOT LESS. The enemy team will be fed and with how much damage there is in League, you will get popped instantly if you don't build resistances against the enemy.

You pretty much explained the ****tiness of this build viability wise in your own post. You are making it so that your passive, something Darius already has, is no longer needed. You don't have to be Challenger to get why this is bad. You already have it. Why work against it instead of working WITH it?

Darius doesn't fall of lategame because he deals no damage. He falls off lategame because EVERYONE DEALS DAMAGE. What this means is that you are no longer tanky enough to survive until you can do your damage. So you are taking power AWAY from yourself midgame, only to arrive to a lategame where it takes 3 autos from an ADC to kill you because you went damage.

I'd recommend this build only to people who find the normal Darius build to be boring and who do not mind throwing games for fun.
