Anime Gallery - CnC Appreciated :)

Dammit though, they take AGES to colour, shade and add effects. They take a ridiculously long time to do. I thought I would post what I have sketched though, and any criticism / compliment would be nice and appreciated. Bear in mind though that the scans sont do compliments to the proper image and i'm yet to refine the images properly in Adobe Illustrator). Also consider that its only a hobby and I'm not drawing proffesionally! I'll post one in full as an example and then link the rest as they take up a lot of space. Some you may recognize of websites because I copied a few to get going ;). Anyone who can identify who a large part of them are based off gets a kirby hug (love that anime ;D). I see what you were saying with the hands B-Wong; they are a bit "odd" in a way thats hard to place. I would agree the answer is to make them more slender, and perhaps make the nails flatter to the surface of the finger?. I'll do some studies and sketches to see what i can get to, this is why posting here is so useful ;). When it comes to drawing Slizer, it's really not something you can pick up straight away, and only something you can come back too after you rejuvenate your skill with a bit of practice. the only way i managed to reach the level i'm at now (which is by no means high) is by copying internet examples and learning for yourself how the body and face curves, and how to draw the eyes for example. You then proceed to draw your own pieces from what you've learnt about anatomy. I've been doing this for about 3 years now, but i essentially wasted my first year trying to work from examples i'd learnt from tutorials but just weren't cutting it for me - Your work ends up too linear and unvaried if you get my drift. You just dont improve. So basically - You really have to endure with this stuff until you can get past the point where you're sitting there frustrated and saying you "cant draw". Don't be disappointed just persevere ;) As for my gender - Let me get it clear that i cannot draw men. I've tried but i cant nail the eyes yet, so i tend to stick to female characters until i feel more confident. I'll leave it as a mystery whether or not i'm a girl ;p By the way guys, i finished shading. Its only a small piece so dont expect grand majesty, but hey, you know what? I'm just persevering with Photoshop until i can colour these well x) [center].
