I have a question. Would Legend: Alacrity work on the rune set? I had been using that previously due to the atk speed it grants. I wanted to hear your thoughts on it. Thank you.
Since release, I must say I personaly HATE taking Muramana on Kai'Sa and I rather just go straight to Infinity Edge and Guinsoo's Rageblade to get more damage.
Boosting Kai'Sa helps her chase and finish enemies or escape, and slowing enemies and stunning them just leaves them at her mercy, she can easily hit her passive against people when teamed with Zilean. If Zil gets a bomb on someone who manages to survive Kai's assault, they're probably going to die, so it helps having kills more or less ensured. There was a point when she got jumped and I got to her in time to use my ult on her, so she came back and got a double kill. She only died once and that was before I had my ult.
In this game, this Kai'Sa was the only person on either team with more than 10 kills (all of which I got assists on), dealt almost 25k total damage to champions (more than double than anyone else), basically she had the highest damage related stats (and the most gold) in the game out of everyone! This ended in just under 30 minutes, I don't know much about stat stuff, but if you're high above everyone else, that seems pretty good to me.
I know I might be basing a lot off of one match, but I honestly think a skilled Zilean playing support for a skilled Kai'Sa have the potential to just steam roll their competition.

Zilean is a weird champion, it can be extremely good in some games and super bad in others, you can't really pick him in every game which makes him kinda situational, I feel like he is really strong with Kai'sa though, you're right. Thanks for the suggestion boss!
Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it.
Yup true, going manamune is way better now, I'll update the build thanks for noticing.
I feel like Kaisa benefits more from the Manamune build at the moment than the IE standard crit build but you can definitely try it out it's not bad, and for the runes, thanks for spotting it, nimbus cloak + gathering storm or absolute focus is better to take than boots and biscuits, I have edited it
Genuinely you'd want to go for the AP build since it is just pure higher raw damage, but if you have heavy AP obviously you'd want to go for a zeal item. Phantom dancer is for its shield, against assassins or just fed champions who kill you fast, rapidfire cannon is for poke and buy it if you can slightly extend to get one auto attack on the enemy carries, its really big damage mid game and statikk shiv is for any other case / if you need waveclear, i usually go statikk shiv when up against tanks or if i know teamfights are gonna last for more than 5 seconds.
Extremely situational, usually to play against 2 or more tanks, or for waveclear aswell if statikk doesnt fit
