Ahhh what a beautiful day for creating a Table of Content for my guide. I already have most of chapters done, I have some basic knowledge of BBCode and I know how to copy > edit Jhoijhoi's BBCode templates from Making a guide. I scroll through few of them and I see that L3gislacerator made a wonderful one, it looks nice and clean and I want to have it. Well my guide has a bit more chapters but that will be fine. I paste the code into my guide, change to color & chapters and skin on the left and I think to myself "God this will look amaizing, What could go wrong??"
EXPECTATIONS:
REALITY:
EXPECTATIONS:

𝓐𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓽𝓲𝓬 𝓟𝓮𝓻𝓯𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷
REALITY:

À̴̢̪̫̰͇̖̠̖̼B̷̢͈͉̹͚̯̯̪̋̇̊͝S̵̡̛̘̩͚̗̟͓͎̻͜Ǫ̷̲͙̘̭͔̮̳͈͛̄̐̅̇̃̌̑́̕L̵̨̲̺͔͍̹͎̙̱̩̃̾̂́̀̀͘͘Ụ̴̓̓̈́̇̔̅̈̌͂̎Ṭ̵̛̞̎̊͊̈E̶̘̻̒̀̓̓ ̵͓̼̭̲̳͚̀̾́M̸̫̮̪̩̭͇̉̽E̶͕̰̯̿͂͂́̾̍͝Ṡ̵͔̺̬̰̤̊̍͒̿̍͒͝S̴̡̢̤̗̣̼̮̰̄̽̈́̓̈
Basically underneath "Skin to Win" and "Settings" and "Kill for Kill" you should add a few more transparent lines. You can use the code [color=transparent].[/color] so that each segment has 14 chapters (with some being invisible).
It'll look like this; Hope that's clear enough!
Anyway your trick is a nice start to make the ToC running, TYSM <3
Also Since it's so tall a ToC, maybe consider changing the image on the left? You can find enormous versions of splash arts online Order of the Banana Soraka Wallpaper then just crop Soraka out in the height you would like.
Fiiinally, I think it'll look cool if you colour the different segment titles differently :) Orange, Yellow, Red, Pink or something for each segment title + the x's.
Going to throw some unsolicited guide advice at you:
The amount of subjects (aka sections or chapters) in your TOC is much, much greater than the amount of subjects in the template. I scrolled through the guide and you got a section for EVERYTHING. My recommendation: make subsections.
For example, "Starting item", "Boots", "Items detailed" can all be described with "Items". So you basically make a section called "Items" and put the other things in that/below that/near that as well. If you want to take it far you can merge the gameplay related sections (such as roaming, warding and lasthitting) with the relevant game phases (e.g. Early game). By creating subsections you can also make your guide a lil' more structured, something you might want to do since it is so large!
In case you start structuring, you may run into the issue that some sections get a rather large amount of subsections & become very long. You can leave it that way or make another TOC at the start of that section (indicating all the subsections). I did this in my Liss guide (Gameplay: Early Game) chapter, if you're looking for an example.
That's the end of the unsolicited guide advice. No worries if you're not gonna use it. Your post made my day!
PS: Ay, Fruxo and Silverman got here ahead of me, I always spend too much time writing stuff like this ;(
Even though I love my readers and I would like to give them as perfect guide as possible, I just can't merge chapters as it would limit my future work waaaay too much, but I appreciate your comment and I might combine some smaller chapters into one and as I replied to Silverman, I am definitely not giving up that easily, my guide is just a little bit reckless atm, but don't worry I will keep it on a leash ;)
PS: Relatable, I just answered one comment under this blog post and all of sudden 2 more appeared :D
Anyways, by merging I didn't necessarily mean putting all of the code in a single chapter in the guide coding. You can just put stuff in different chapters in the guide editor. Then you can toy around with banners/headers to make something structured, despite not having to put all the code in a single chapter.
By hiding the header bar and not giving the chapter a title (if you do give a title, it shows up in the sidebar TOC) you can essentially hide the fact that the section consists of multiple chapters (gosh, this might get a little confusing xD). The only consequence will be an open vertical space of about 20px. Here's an example of where I applied this (in editor): image. If you open my table coding guide and scroll to the template section you can see that there is no evidence whatsoever of the fact that the template section consists of 3 chapters ;)
Anyways, I wish you good luck with your updating & editing your guide! As Silverman said, eventually you'll find a way...!
Yeah the fact that you are a moderator now is really showing off :D
Thnx Sandra
