I wouldn't say getting S+ is even necessary. The only reasons you would get it is to get mastery tokens for mastery 7, and you can get those same tokens just by getting an S rank (or S+ if you get it).
If you're having a good game but don't get it, then focus on your farm. Farming is one of the sole reasons people do not get an S+ rank, because it's too low.
