Good guide! I think the summoners are great, the runes also, but i would maybe add resolve when you are against a harder mathc up, or if the player is first time vs a certain champion, for the items i think you should add divine sunderer as an option, even if this guide is for midlane i think divine sunderer can be bought if the enemy has a tank top and bot maybe even jungle.

Cheatsheet and build

I recommend starting the notes of the rune pages with when they should be taken & the rest after.
The situationals items block is too big, try to split it up in 2-3 smaller ones. This will also limit the length of the notes, which are a bit too long.
I’m a bit skeptical of Sunfire Aegis. The notes also imply that this is more or less a theorycraft result (e.g. it indicates that sunfire will be changed in the future), which also implies that this is an unproven build.
I'm not a fan of the experimental builds. The cheatsheet is the only thing some people will see, some of them will just randomly scroll around & miss the “Experimental” part.

Pre-game Setup

Teleport is taken against harder matchups apparently, however there is no way of knowing what those matchups would be. There are a few in the threats/synergies, but those are either uncommon or champions you’d be taking Exhaust against. Adding more matchups (and noting whether to take ignite/tp/exhaust vs them) could solve this.
It is not clear when to take which page looking at the runes section. Both pages solve mana issues and both pages got sustain, there seems to be no significant difference between them. Also the Press the Attack page isn’t covered at all.
Make sure that all the items that are listed in the cheatsheet are displayed in the guide as well. The cheatsheet is mainly focused on when to take things and you can talk more about why certain items are good in the item section. For example:

Otherwise, Sterak's Gage, Wit's End, and Death's Dance are good situational items to build each having its own strengths and purposes.

Explaining/listing these strengths and purposes would be excellent thing to do.
I recommend not talking about specific patches in your item explanations. This can be confusing for people that do not keep up to them and it is easy to forget their existence.
As for Sunfire Aegis:

Make sure claims like these are verified in practice tool. tenacity stacks multiplicatively in most cases. In reality Legend: Tenacity + Mercury's Treads + Sunfire Aegis gives 61% tenacity. The combination of Legend: Tenacity + Mercury's Treads already gives 51% tenacity. Based on this, is Sunfire Aegis still worth it?

Gameplay

This is alright, what I’m missing is that Irelia often tries to sneak in autoattacks when using Bladesurge to farm. In the text you also mention stacking Ionian Fervor, but do not mention this is done by using Bladesurge to lasthit which is the main way of stacking it, I assume. This all might be a result of trying to condense information, but be careful that you do not leave important details out.
Bladesurge pathing is a term I haven't heard before. Although I can imagine/figure out what it means, some others might not be able to.
What is the influence of mythic on how you play in the mid-late game? Trinity Force is mentioned for sidelaning, but all other options are not spoken of.
Since Irelia is a fan of wrecking backlines, should you be looking for flanks? Although she has a lot of mobility with Bladesurge I can imagine that flacking could give you a much better chance at killing the backline.

The main point of improvement is making sure the cheatsheet & content in the guide body match and being a bit more precise on when to take certain options. The presentation of the guide is fine, does it jobs & enhances clarity. The gameplay part is well-written and easy to read. I definitely think there is more to talk about, in the conclusion you mention you'll expand the guide eventually. I'm looking forward to that!

Thank you for the thorough review. I know my guide can be a bit lengthy despite my attempts to keep it concise and to the point. I addressed each of your points and made adjustments accordingly to my guide. I would like to thank you for pointing out the part about about tenacity. That was my mistake. It is multiplicative and I forgot to address that. Nonetheless, I find that through experimentation, the build is indeed worth going. Sunfire Aegis was already a mythic being used on some Irelia OTPs across servers and the change from ability haste to tenacity and slow resist does not hurt Irelia at all, but gives her another situational tool to work with. While AH is helpful she is not CD reliant due to the nature of her Q resets.

I will definitely look to make improvements to the guide as the season goes on. I recently learned a little BBCoding to polish my guide up and hopefully that shows on my guide rather than looking at just blocks of text from start to finish. Thank you again for reading and the critique!

I like it into AP heavy/tanky team compositions. I have tested it a little bit and it is still a situational build, but BotRK -> Wit's End -> Sunfire Aegis does good damage. If you know that they don't have long CC (less than 2 seconds), you can opt to take Legend: Bloodline instead of Legend: Tenacity because Sunfire Aegis + Merc Treads gives 50% Tenacity. Otherwise 80% Tenacity feels really nice and you are tanky so you don't get bursted either. I played into a Morgana that asked me how her bind lasted less than a second. I hope you find some success using it as well!
