if you're behind after shieldbow is best to just go defensive like spirit there or still go collecter? also the most important part whats your fav skin on xin?

If you fall behind on Xin after Shieldbow 90% of the time ur just going to be useless anyways, but I still think collector is the best option since it gives you enough damage to try and one shot enemy ADC in teamfights. My favourite skin on Xin is Cosmic Defender :)

I saw that you are also collecting, when should I do it too?

Hi, I was just about the update my guide - Collector 2nd item is best rn.

You still go this 4dmg itembuild when you fall behind?
I tried this build about 20 games now and when your massiv ahead is op but if you fall behind it feels like you are nothing.

If you die like 2-3 times before 5 mins its probably better to just go Frostfire Gauntlet and hope to be a somewhat useful tank, but otherwise its too inefficient to go Shieldbow into tank items since you won't really do damage or be tanky. Just have to build full damage, dive straight for the ADC/mid and hope to pick up some kills along the way which will put you back in the game. If you can't consistently get a lead early game with this champion, it probably isn't worth playing since there are just better options for hypercarries (IE: Graves & Karthus).

One or two patches ago if im not mistaken for your mythic xin zhao would run eclipse. How come now after patch 11.7 you should run shieldbow instead of eclipse?

With Xin Zhao's mini-rework (post 11.6), his AD base damages got nerfed across the board, which is a direct nerf to lethality Xin. This nerf was compensated by AP scalings (which isn't viable yet in my opinion) and crit scaling on his W, which my build aims to take advantage of. Moreover, Shieldbow currently is just a better item than Eclipse - the components help you clear at least 1.2x faster (Noonquiver > Serrated dirk), the shield you gain is so much better (300 HP + 13 AD starting scaling to 800 HP + 35AD) and crit in general just scales better into the game (the Eclipse build just falls off after 20 mins). Finally, the synergy between Shieldbow and Last Stand with the rest of your kit gives you the highest DPS by a long shot - when you reach below 30% HP (which will happen very often given how little HP you have with this build) you gain the shield and AD from Shieldbow and 11% increased damage from Last Stand! Hope that answers your question :)

Where is Hail of Blades? Xin Zhao really isn't that good without it.

Sorry for the late responses x
I totally disagree, Xin is more than fine without hail of blades. Hail of blades provides an advantage in early game ganking, but falls off slightly in the midgame. This makes it a keystone which is more reliant on getting your team ahead, rather than being the carry (which is absolutely necessary in soloq). It is a strong keystone in competitive play/high elo, but only works well in conjunction with the cleaver/sterak's build, which is completely different from the build I currently run.

Your guide worked really good even for the lane. I just changed the water walking and that was enough. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Nice to hear! For Xin lane i'd actually recommend press the attack, conquerer or hail of blades , though phase rush is definitely a viable option. Hail of blades (imo) is currently the best keystone for Xin Jungle as of 9.1, so definitely give it a shot. I will be updating the guide with new runes and build variations for season 9 once the new season hits.

Why Phase Rush?
1
lol_eji (2) | January 12, 2019 9:30am
Thanks for the commment! I like taking Phase Rush, as the movement speed is key in early game ganks and skirmishes. Red buff slows the target by 10%, while phase rush increases your movement speed by 25% and gives 75% slow resist, creating a massive difference in ms that can close the distance of an enemy flash. This allows you to chase down enemies that contest your crab and get kills from slightly overextended laners that have flash. You'll win against almost any champion in an early game fight, thus you want to ensure that you stick on them to finish the kill. The damage from press the attack or electrocute is usually overkill, so it isn't worth taking. It is also strong in the mid-game, as it helps your teamfighting; allows you to smoothly engage and disengage fights.
