The standard route is 2 JitB at small golems, 3 JitB at Lizard before minions spawn. Place attack the Mini golems immediately upon spawn and auto attack to death. You'll be able to place one more box when you're attack, place it behind the golems.
Then lure red buff to the set up boxes, place another box and smite for the buff kill, then wraiths. After that it's usually off to blue. Set up 2 JitB and then clear blue buff then gank. You're not looking for a kill, just try to burn the enemies' summoner spells
An alternate route involves starting at blue buff. Highly not recommended because even if you do get ganked over at the mini golems, your boxes should be set up well enough to deter the enemies and you can easily transition to taking Golem if you do get ganked.
Just a few edits. :) It's very important to abuse Shaco's mobility early game.

Except he can. With an AoE fear he utility carries just fine.

He can, don't know what you saying. I've seen shacos jump in and run out w/ a triple kill or more.

I love the times when people are like "Oh it's Shaco. Weak burst, weak sustained DPS. Woops I died. You too buddy?". Proper box setup is extremely ****ing useful. Jack off in a box in the bushes when you can. Make sure you're in deceive range and when they touch that box, jack their ****. I personally find myself maxing Boxes/2shiv first, but I think that's just personal preference. He does great damage and he's a crazy good anti-carry at the same time.

i think i figured out why u have good kills but cant win. shaco is more about pressure and map control than anything. i can not get a single kill the entire game and destroy the enemy team. how?
1. gank pressure
2. jungle interception pressure (when ur enemy walks through their jungle unaware of u or ur 4 boxes in that bush)
3. stealing buffs (that come after pressuring)
4. taking every dragon.
5. pushing lanes so 5v5 doesnt happen
= profit, u win

Well, hyper I dont know if your right or wrong. But within the past 3 days of me buying shaco. I have around 10~15 games with him. I have lost every single one. T^T even with all this advice.

I bet it's a lack of knowledge on how to act on your victories. :3
Get Dragon? Push a tower?
Baron's good when they have 3+ dead, and you're all alive and healthy.
Towers and Jungle buffs win games, bro~
Shaco also lacks teamfight power, and always needs to enter the fight late. That applies even if it means you have to ditch cause you were at the front, hide until Deceive cools, and jump back in after a few allies died.
Also,
Shaco is a very hard champion to master.
Doing well with him demands an very thorough understanding of enemy movements. You've only played a few days with him and your score is decent. Just keep practicing.
