Greetings to all guide makers!
Today I would like to discuss with you how you deal with negative emotions when you get dislikes?

This is a big problem for me, I put my soul into the guide and every dislike causes me a huge rage.

In general, I would like to learn from you a couple of tips on how to deal with the negativity not from the game, but from negative votes.

P.S. Thank you all in advance for your answers!
You can check out my best guide!

I can tell you that people will always dislike even THE BEST content that you can find anywhere on the entire internet

I would not give a damn about it, if you are proud about what you made and you think its good, then its all that matters. Yes it is nice to get positive feedback, positive reviews etc. But there will always be haters out there, some may even negatively vote for no reason at all

Just do your best to ignore it and keep doing what you love

Hey!

I think this is something we all deal with throughout life. Right now we're talking about guides, but the very same thing may happen at school, at work, in any online game, pretty much anywhere where multiple people observe you and what you're doing.

You cannot satisfy everyone's preferences and almost every time there's going to be someone who's got something to complain about. This can be influenced by their opinion about you, how their day went, their mindset or mood, a lot of different factors you cannot really control or predict.

I think the most important thing is your own opinion and your own satisfaction of what you're doing. If you're happy with the quality of your guides, then that's what matters most. It looks like your guides have gathered a healthy amount of upvotes and also a significant amount of views, meaning you're doing a good job.

I think you're being too hard on yourself and that you shouldn't be discouraged by a few downvotes that might be coming from people that disagree with your build, or that have just recently lost a match and are trying to blame it on someone or something, or even someone having a bad day as I've mentioned above.

That's the way I think about it whenever I'm dealing with negativity online or offline, it's part of life and it's something we have to deal with every now and then. 😁

As someone who constantly strives to put out a good guide, I can understand how you feel about it.

You cannot please every single person in the world, there will always be negatives regardless of how good your guide may become. This is also not at all specific to just guides, this problem arises for anything in life that has a sense of meaning.

What you have to realise is that you will not be able to please everyone, but what you can do is please the people that do support you. People that enjoy viewing your guide, try to appeal to them, those people are what your guide is supposed to be for. I would try not to think too much about the rest if I were you, there will always be downvotes and thinking too much about them will just demotivate you from wanting to make your guide better.
Thanks to Jovy for the sig!
