Building a strong nocturne

He was doing way more damage, I couldn't hurt anyone with my crappy infinity edge (before blood thirster). Sure my teammates were not excellent, but there must be an explanation for why he was able to get such an upper hand early game. How can I carry games if their enemy nocturne is so superior in every way?[/quote]

I think you are right that maybe it's just the fact that he was able to feed on my teammates, that really made him snowball out of control.
