I've been using The "Irelia, Ionian Blades" guide (check it out) For items and what else minus skills (replace sorcerer's shoes with berserker's greaves). I also use ghost and exhaustion for summoner spells.
My Skill build goes as such (sorry for using hot key letters).
q-e-q-w-q-r-q-e-q-e-r-e-w-e-w-r-w-w.
I'll Write up a guide later. Also yes i still get the sheen, its kinda nice when you throw out a sonic wave to have the kick deal twice as much damage. Kinda like a perma Crit (unless it means normal attack but still good).

Ive had great success building Lee Sin, like how Guardsman Bob builds Xin Zhao with a slight change in build since I like to jungle with Lee Sin. I find him to be strongest mid to mid late game for me, after that he wanes a bit, but he synchronized with just about every team I threw him at, and being able to save, chase, then set up, is amazing.

as far as i can tell from watching people, hes relatively useless. Only enough energy for two of his four skills, doesnt have a particular niche, skills are poorly designed / poor damage [his ult range is the same as cho'gath feast, so he literally has to get in the middle of the team to ult anything.] his Q is god awful, between it hitting minions and the slow particle speed. hes E is way too small of a range to be effective consistently, and his W doesnt even block a full auto attack at max level. Sure, he is playable, but while people don't know how to build him, hes pretty useless. I'm gonna say hes built a lot like irelia. tanky with one offensive item... preferably triforce.
-First, dont do the same stupid mistake than i did, buying the leesin pack because the default skin is by very far the best one.
- i made 20+ games with him trying different build and way to play him.
what can i say ... for jungling hes actualy awsome... i mean A+ for jungling. with a lifesteal scepter you can jungle non stop with some pratice and get all the jungle buffs. and solo dragon at lvl 4-5 prety easily.
for lining is still prety good too ! good harrast skill with is Q and W to come back fast or even Q-E-W combo is good
but when come time for team fight you cant be dps ... seriously the way he is right now build with dps you wont survive long enough to be able to make 2 skills in row ... so the only way to be viable and still be a great jungle is by building him prety tanky.
BUT
when you build prety Tanky, the build i can see the best fit for him is like a renekton defensive build ( like the crop chop build or something like that on mobafire )
0-21-9
ArP mark / HP.lvl or dodge seal / MR or CDR glyph
with Smite + Flash or Ghost for jungle
or
Flash + exaust for lining
but still ....
Lee sin atm ... to me is like a renekton without a Ult ....
because even with a prety defensive build like that one you still prety squishy because you cant get the same extra 500 hp and rage boost lol
so the only thing i can see to get defensive as much and renek is to build him even more defensive but you gonna hit like a wet towel.
my opinion right now is Lee sin is awsome jungle and prety good early game harrast / gank
but lack of power or surviability mid to late game even with a prety beefy build.
so a little boost i think would be a good thing for him .

I'm still thinking he needs some buffs. I haven't seen a way to jungle him yet... It's debatable whether or not I spent RP well...

So, jungle - you have two options:
One, take vamp scept and start at twin golems.
Two, cloth armor, 5 hp pots and start at blue.
Either way, take W first. Against jungle mobs, Lee is super powerful considering he can just go:
W->2hits->W->2hits->E->2hits->E->2hits.
Q shouldn't be taken or leveled first. Q is more an initiate to get in range for E,(The 10% of missing health damage is most the damage from Q, so initiate, Get your E slow, Q to kill them, maybe W if you need to get in range, or need the lifesteal.
I've been having MUCH more success with him leveling R>W>E>Q than R>Q>Anything.
W is an amazing shield to level early because it can seriously help in mid game team fights, and get your team to snowball early.
I used to rush a triforce, which I still think is pretty good in lane, but now I'm building him much closer to olaf or udyr.
Wriggles->Merc->Sunfire/phage->Fro Mallet->Atmas->Banshee->Warmogs(replacing wriggles)
Of course, changing either the build order or the full build depending on what kind of damage the team does the most of.

Cluster bombing from B-52s is very, very accurate -- the bombs always hit the ground.
