#1 - With the 21 point Utility skill, and your passive from Heimer's ulti, you'll be at 35% cooldown reduction. Blue buff easily maxes out your cooldown reduction. You don't need any cooldown items at all, and certainly not runes. I'd suggest trading in those CDR glyphs for AP per level.

#2 - Archangel's only gives 3% AP on your max mana, so the 189.54 extra mana from your seals gives you all of 6 AP. Try getting health seals instead, flat or scaling.

#3 - You get ROA too late in the game for it to be effective. By the time you finish getting the ROA bonuses the game will be like 35-40 minutes in, at least. I'd suggest getting Zhonya's Hourglass instead, if you want a defensive ap item.

#4 - Rylai's passive doesn't affect your turrets, and overlaps with the stun on your grenade, so basically all it does it gives you some hp and a 15% slow on your rockets. The HP and AP alone can be worth it, but I get that item last if I get it at all.

#5 - Magic pen only helps your rockets and 'nade. The abyssal scepter's aura, however, does help your turrets. You should probably consider trying AP per level marks instead of magic pen.

#6 - Those quints, like the seals, are kind of a waste. 225 mana at level 18 nets you a whopping 7 AP at end game, whereas flat AP quints get you 15 AP out of the gate at level one.

Yo, just wanted to comment on your guide. Not going to downvote, but all the "pwepew" **** is annoying.

I'd like to comment on your rune choice, though. You said

OK, so your sole reason for taking 3 quints and nine marks is to get 414.72 mana at level 18.. so that you can get an extra 3% of it into AP. What is 3% of 414.72? 12.44-ish. To me, is seems like a waste of Marks (since Magic Pen will boost damage more then 12 AP at lvl 18) and ESPECIALLY quints. You're better off using those Quints for flat HP, raw ability power (since you could get 15 AP the entire game just from going AP Quints) or MagPen. Or anything. Really, after you get Tear of the Goddess, mana should cease to be a problem and you'll getting most of your AP from Archangel's through that.

wow I honestly didnt know there was a CD cap this made me rethink alot over about my last two items so Thank you alot but I wouldnt actually suggest getting two Archangel's Staff instead I would suggest actually getting a Rylai's crystal scepter and a Soul Shroud for my options. with these two items I changed it with should actually be alot better then what I was doing thanks for making me rethink on that.

ya CDR cap is 40% total(gear, runes, etc) for all champs. With Hiemer his ult passive gives him 20%, 40-20 = 20, so he only needs 20%

So, went back and tried it, and I liked it. My only suggestion would be to finish tear ASAP, after some rough and dirty calculations (1000/4=250 casts, 250/(60/3)=12.5) it takes you 12.5 minutes if you're casting a spell every three seconds to max out tear, and thats implying that you have the mana regen to cast a spell every 3 seconds for 12.5 minutes straight. I would suggest at least finishing tear before merc treads, if not blue pilling for it the second its available. I don't normally worry about maxing tear, but Heimerdinger always ends up a little mana starved for me (I spam rockets for harassment like its going out of style), and a bonus 1k mana early will be huge for his damage output.

+1 regardless if you take my advice, its just a suggestion. Good job.

Best Heimerdinger guide I have ever seen/played. Awesome Turret placements helped me avoid ganks even pro stuff. first game I went 9-2

Haven't tried the guide yet, but I like the turret placement pics. Its something I've always wondered about, and I guess people just assume you'll know how to place them. I'll vote when I get a chance to try it.
