I find i prefer building more AP on her though, though late game i don't know if death cap is better with 155 ap(since the 30% passive ap gain does NOT stack) or something like lichbane for movement and the extra power after you use an ability
also, tried rally 5v5, not that hot if it gets hit, it has low hp. mroe than 3 unliek wards, but still low hp. 1-3 hits late game its dead.
Well other than banshees, there isn't much you can do to get more AP. Max AP is obtained by 5 AA and deathcap. Deathcap is better than any other item for raw AP. If the target has 2000+ HP, then deathfire deals more damage than a full stacked mejais.
So I don't know how you can get more AP without spamming AA.
Rally isn't viable anymore, so don't even try. Just stick with spells that help you lane and get around the battle field.

Great build - those four matches I had using Anivia were the very first time I started using her.
PS - In all 4 matches, I never made it to the Deathcap. =)
You can ofc have success with it, but I would just assume that it would take quite abit of a different playstyle to make it work for real. OFC if you DO skill it, you get alot more damage out of it when you actually double (or even triple) hit your opponents. But odds are you will most of the time have to detonate ASAP to get them stunned before they stun/silence/nuke you. A good example of this is when facing a Veigar it is VERY crucial to use your FF to stun him before he stuns you.
And yeah, Zhonya's actually works wonders on Anivia - Especially because you can do like your full combo then put down GS and activate Hourglass to wait for your CD's to go off again. (Another "trick" is that you CAN actually use it while in egg form if timed "correctly" pretty sure it's a bug though. But it have saved me maybe once or twice).
I will stick to my downvote though, I do really not find FF to be worth it to level that much - that is MY opinion and I have full rights to have that :)
In some games I even level Wall over FF for the mere fact that a bit bigger wall in mid/early late game is amazingly awesome when fighting in forest etc.
Oh, and you should really comment on my guide aswell if you've learned something from it ^^
Then why did you not control yourself? Still I ultimately proved you wrong on every reason why you down voted except for play style. However in your original post you said that I didn't have enough play style in my guide.
The thing about FB is the range. Of all her skills Anivia's shortest is FB. I have gotten to the point where I know where I want FF to land and normally I get a double hit.
I have read your guide but by your logic I would have to down vote it. However I won't but I won't up vote it either. I don't down vote people just because their play style is different from mine. I take into account how they play and if their items are good for their style. Hence why you get abyssal scepter, hourglass and RoA. In a team fight, you will be much closer than I would be so you need to be a little bit bulkier. I can stay a bit farther away and still get my spells of so I go for a heavier hitting build that is more fragile.

If you are THAT good with skill-shots then you would be GODLIKE playing Ezreal, and probably become the best Ezreal player EVER!
Jokes aside, I don't buy it - make yourself seem pro all you want. I have well above 100 games with Anivia, No I am not a new Anivia player. But either I am playing in very high Elo against extremely good opponents (which is untrue). Or you are playing against terribad opponents who don't know how to sidestep properly ^^ (most likely the case)
How often do you miss doing the double damage with FF? Don't say 0 times that's just pure f*cking BS.
On top of all those things 2 very important reasons I am forgetting is that FB have lower mana cost and CD than FF at all levels. Leveling FF makes it cost ALOT more mana, when you at most times wouldn't be able to afford casting it over and over.
First off, just cause you happen to be good at a high skill cap champion does not mean that you will be good at all of them. You seem to be coming across as mad. That statement, even though a joke, was a very lame attempt.
Ok, don't. Still doesn't justify that since this build does not fit your play style and you prefer the easier route therefore my build should be down voted.
However I will tell you a method that makes hitting your skill shot much easier. Don't harass (or even attempt to with FF) unless they are near their own creeps. You are right in the fact that it cost a good bit of mana. But if you can watch how the minions line up then you can predict your opponents pathing trying to escape from it.
You can see an example of this on Anivia's champion spotlight.
Are you really trying to say that I claim to be the best? Where is your logic in that? If anything you are making that claim.
So I have grown use to hitting FF and you prefer the R + E. Both of which are completely viable. However this build is designed for players who want to reach their full burst potential and not full harassing potential. I despised players who used E + R or the R + E combo to harass cause that encouraged her nerfs.
Again, you are mad. Why can't you calm down for a second and even consider new ideas? I can't say that I have had a 100% success with FF. However same can be said with you. Whats your point?
So are you going to keep talking like a trolling noob or actually try it out and then make suggestions? I took a look and tried your guide. I must say that I liked hourglass in their cause I could activate it and buy me some time if I ever found myself out of position or about to go into egg mode from ignite.
