BUT i have played plenty with him too. but the enemy team usually has someone fed somewhat... or at least annoyance. yes as brand you cast from distance usually but conflag is done a litl closer... and from that range you can get jumpd on by kat xin leblanc etc. so i personally find some defense (rylais helps too with hp). brands dmg is still great against a team. and for better items... y do you need the tome then? you have cd glyphs and quints, masteries, not difficult to grab golem either for the 25% cd in mid or late game either (round time ud buy tome). so id rather try to stay healthier, because enemys have harasses too, you need some hp healin. will of ancients cost 2100 gold, and gives 70 ap and 25%spell vamp, along with aura for team play (which happens in mid-late game) your tome cost litl more than will of anceints and only gives 5 more ap, no spell vamp, mana regen you dont rly need after tear is built up, and cd you have plenty alrdy. rylais, yes it slows bout how is 80 ap slow and hp not good for you? with wards, i no people dont put on builds to get wards, and its more tank supports who should get wards, but it was more you said they dont need it and to look at map. wards can be great with junglers on enemy or to surpise gank an enemy in bush, dragon, or baron. i think that raps up what i gotta say... lol, dam for some reason i type a lot to you... just noticed lol

if ur a good mage.. u don't need AT ALL armor or even magic resist.. i've played about 20 games with brand and i took magic resist just once.. because of urgot's great ranged ability.. if ur a pro brand you don't need armor and magic resist.. i don't like anyway will of ancient because it gives almost just to your friends and you lose a slot for a better item.. about sight wards.. you cannot put ward in a guide as suggested item.. cmon.. if u see someone comes gank you then u can think to put one, anyway it's not a MUST HAVE.. also i have a question for you.. do you prefer having a rylais to slow your enemy and HOPE to kill him after or have more ap to slain your enemy right away?

lol and i just read that how you need no health or armor in games... but MAGIC RESIST... ok... and i agree 100% sight wards are useless... why would riot put somethin like that just to consume and waste your gold... lol sry the entire unique skills part is funny

i differ a lot on some items. i find the tome to not be very useful... and y is rylais and will of ancients useless? i understand most brands mid but u dont stay in a lane... you have team fights and everything (weird concept i know) so the aura helps then, also the spell vamp allows him to heal and actually keep some hp. rylais hp actually gives him something to walk around with. if not then he is very glass cannon. also the slows help with cc and helpin with skill shots, also the passive slows with it as well. if u expect to be brand with 0 defense items (besides lich bane MR) then your gonna be dead first everytime unless you sit in the corner playin with yourself. and fyi... y hextech revolver? do you not no that builds into will of ancients? i would love to see you in a game vs me or anyone decent with this build and not be dead half the game...
