Most normal dubs by them lack emotion, seems like the VA is just reading the lines.

Thought I'd push this a bit:
Everyone who likes Animes should watch the new Evangelion movies(The "original" Series, too, ofc), they are freaking awesome.
I think I never ever cried so hard to a movie as to the second Evangelion movie(I did to Elfen Lied, but that's something else) and I never saw so much epicness and such magnificent pictures in which the story is told. The characters are absolutely realistic and very unique and the animations...oh my god, just watch it.

I only read like one or two volumes of Evangelion, but the story was so generic and uninteresting --.-- (was a while ago tho, so I can't fully remember)

Omg, I totally forgot! I have actually watched a really good anime!
But unlike 99% of animes it's actually not based on a manga.
Ergo Proxy. Really worth watching.
Aside from one or two a little disappointing episode it was damn near perfect.

There is no way in hell I'm watching dub episodes. The voice actors are **** for the most part and they usually have annoying voices. Sometimes the dub is even badly synced to the video.
Depends on the company really. Funimation does some boss dubbing for their animes. I know that even samurai Shampoo (I call it this, lemme alone >:[) is much more enjoyable dubbed in english then in japanese. Well, that's for me anyways.
