I was hoping they'd announce that the third evangelion movie was a live action movie that's a TBA date in the year 2012. When the world ends, "Hey guys, THAT was the movie!". I would die happy.

We are talking about the remake of Evangelion, not the "old" Evangelion, which ended with "THe End of Evangelion". There are four movies, from which two are out yet, in which the Story is else, much more dramatic and action-oriented. Only the first Movie is common to the Series(Episodes 1-6).
