I'm in the US.
From my perspective, learning how to react to something at 200-250 ping will improve your reaction times at 100 or less =)

Trust me, it works, when forced to do something frustrating/not used to, the best thing to do is adapt to the environment and just deal with it.

My ping is actually decent on US servers, if I remember correctly I had about 140ping.
Whereas on EU around 100, so it's not much difference to be fair. Although I guess when playing skill-shot champions it can be a bit frustrating... the extra 1/2 second lag.
People say play-styles are different, not too sure about that
EU is definitely more relaxed, people just don't care , and quit etc at like 1600 ELO, it's not until about 1800 ELO people start playing properly and also picking the right champions to counter opponents.

You would only learn how to compensate the lag. And that is imho a bad thing (i used to play alot of Quake/UT/CS even with high pings). It is not good, you would tend to overshoot the skillshots later on, or pause the skill combos due to beeing used to lag.
Well personally I used to have the worst internet ever and get like 400 pings (cause im kinda far from europe but ma friends played on it so I moved from US to Europe)... after I got a better internet I chill at 100 ping.
TBH i feel like the 400 ping change to 100 ping is a huge freedom and I started playing extremely good..
Then after I got to used to the 100 ping I was back to "feeder dante"

^It's kinda like playing a video game on a flat screen TV using Composite cables (lag for controller inputs -->screen) then playing with HDMI or Component cables (no lag)

Pings:
Europe:
Basically 20-60.
Weak Connection are 70-120.
Mainteance Ping is 150-160 for me but it works quite fine.
I see people with even 9 ms (Damn those Deutsch).
US Servers... always 230-260 for me, it really sucks to play on US, and as DEWO said it's not going to help you in any way, just an annyoing ping, really annyoing.
On EU there are some *downtime* mainteances, when pings reach 150 and even 220 for weak connection players, but it's occasionaly, they are always ONLINE, rarely Offline or Busy, not recently at least, maybe 3 months ago.
Switch for EU, once you get higher on ELO Ladder it becomes nice, no raging (usually, but not always) and it's easy to climb the mountain, people here aren't that great tbh...

^Main reason to switch would be to learn more playstyles, team comps, and overall strategies, by knowing these (especially if you lose) you can learn how to counter them.

If you are a NA player than stay on US if you are from Europe swapping to EU will get you a lagless games (if you dont get connected to the US swap-server ofc)
I wouldnt handle playing on US servers since im from europe and 200-250 ping is killing... srsly.
So dont look at strategies and so on... look at the ping.
