So for tanks or almost-tanks that use some spells (like Nasus, Singed, and a few others) Here's an Item build I came up with that seems like it would make them a high DPS character and a good carry/tank. You'd only get +450 hp, but you'd have a good amount of resist and armor. But Magic DPS is what this is all about so here's what it looks like:

Sorcerer's Shoes- +20 penetration
Sword of the Divine- +100DPA on every 4th attack (25DPA)
Abyssal Staff- minus 20 resist AOE
Sunfire Cape- 35DPS AOE
Thornmail- 30% Dmg taken
Wit's End- +42 DPA

Total: 35DPS+67DPA+30%DT And then put that through the penetration and resist algorithms.

So, in total, you'd be rockin' pretty hard and any 1v1 would be a death sentence for the other person. For Singed specifically I'd replace the Wit's End and Sword of Divine with maybe Catalyst protector and Deathfire grasp and make Catalyst's Protector the first thing you get. I'm not sure but I think this would also be a decent build for Amumu but I've only played as him once or twice and I'm not sure.

So, what do you think? I just thought of this so I plan on using it as soon as I buy Singed and I use it every now&then as Nasus but it's not as good as most other Nasus builds I've seen.

Sorc Shoes are a fine choice of boots but they're really not stellar, especially when you compare them to Merc Treads, Ninja Tabi, or CDR boots.

The attack speed items you put are pointless because they won't really improve your tank's DPS and a tank shouldn't be attacking that much in a fight anyway.

The other three options are common tank items.

The problem with building offense on tanks is that it detracts from their ability to tank while most tanks don't deal much damage in the first place. Those that do are classified as "tanky DPS" or "offtanks".

Why would you build Sorcerer's shoes on Nasus?
2 of his skills scale off AP and not at very good ratios.
I make Nasus carry level damage with tank items.

I also don't think that Singed is a DPS type either.

Thank you to jhoijhoi for the sig, and all the dividers in the guide.

Dunno if troll or not. But here is my feedback:

Culd work on atleast singed, if you dropp the attack speed items.

Sunfire abyssal is always great ;)

Like I said, if it were Singed I would drop the attack speed for Catalyst protector and
Deathfire Grasp.

Sunfire abyssal is always great ;)

Def. good combo
I tried Lichbane, AP surviv items on Nasus a couple times...actually worked really well since his Q will proc a Lichbane. ;D
abyssal is nice on him since his AP ratios are pretty bad.
