Well, this wasn't the only occasion that I was fed. I don't want to sound cocky, but I always outplay my lane. Vayne is one of those champions that are under the motto, "Get fed or go home." If you don't get fed/farmed early on, all your dmg will be Silver Bolts. You can't rely your dmg on that. Vayne takes skill to play. She's obviously facerollie, but the player has to be exceptionally skilled. They must be able to outlane and even more. Skill man!
Elo was just a normal game. Ranked games, Vayne is obviously always banned. Anyways, 200 wins over losses is pretty high elo if you ask me. It's also a premade 5's so we got matched against a equal elo team that queued together as well.

Yes it's true that Vayne takes skill to play well, but she also has a big target on her head during laning phase since she isn't very durable. It's kinda rare to see vayne's handling harassment properly (at least from personal experience).
On the same topic... i'm guessing it can depend a lot on the lane composition.
Well, both teams that game had pretty good team and lane compositions. I just did what I knew I had to do, or I'd pay the consequences later on : P.
Also, I middle lane Vayne. The only 'target on the head' I have on my head is from the enemy jungler, the roamer and the enemy mid lane. From my experience, I can handle 3 man ganks easily. If you're willing to, I'll show you how Vaynes should harrass sometime ;). I get compliments from players that I'm "one out of thousands" of Vayne players that are actually good. Just hoping this thread can help people build her better and perhaps it'll move onto better gameplay as her too! : D

I'm not doubting your ability to play vayne... the first post comment was just a tease :P
And I usually find vayne's more often laning 2v2 than doing mid (at least on normal games). It's not that usual for people to pick vayne in the ranked matches I did tho.
All the good Vayne players already know building AD is the way to go.
Tumble is what defines Vayne.
Not Silver bolts.

If you want, I'll make a Vayne guide. Just wanted to share this for everyone. So many bad Vaynes out there. This game, I couldn't tumble because of a bug so I neglected a Sheen. However, it fixed at the end!
Anyways, Item Build. (NOTE: If you need to rush Madred's, rush it. NOTE: Defensive item is at the end. If you need a defensive item, prioritize it over whatever item you were working on. I usually have good positioning with Vayne, so I don't need it until late game.)
Start - Doran's Shield or Boot 3 Pot
Next - Boot Ranked 1/Sheen
Next - Dagger -> Berz Greaves. Get Merc if you have to.
Next - Vamp Scepter for lane sustain.
Next - Farm like a MOFO for an Infinity Edge. It sounds difficult, but if you're using this, you should be last hitting very well. Easy cs is easy gold. Vayne is also an amazing ganker, gold shouldn't be an issue. If you can't farm gold on Vayne, you're probably going to lose.
Next - Finish Trinity Force or get Black Cleaver depending on enemy team. Black Cleaver for those people that only have a chainmail, Trinity Force for those neglecting to get Armor at all. Again, attack speed is nice because of her Silver Bolts.
Next - Madred's, Phantom Dancer, or Trinity Force - Phantom Dancer if you're just stomping kids left and right. Madred's if the enemy team just really beefed up (NOTE: You might have to RUSH A MADREDS. IF YOU DO, PUT IT ABOVE ALL PRIORITIES), Trinity Force, you're going to get it no matter or what.
Last - Defensive Item. Banshee's Veil, GA, QSS, all self-explanitory.
END ITEM BUILD : Trinity Force, Black Cleaver, Infinity Edge, Boots, Madred's Bloodrazors or Phantom Dancer, DEFENSIVE ITEM (GA, Banshees, etc)
