I read what they said, and it's not really that harsh in my opinion. It's not like the entire community goes "OMG YOU'RE A ****!!" and hates you.. I'd let it slide, or I'd pursue it in private chat asking them to remove their statements.

I'm not gonna remove what has been said there, but if this thread goes on with it's "witty" remarks and severely over-dramatized claims of "Everyone will hate me and call me a bad captain", I'll close it. The world is not out to get you, Six :)

basically, you need to roll with punches, if you know how things went down truthfully but they feel the need to say otherwise, just laugh to yourself and imagine them as being desperate babies

i mean, it's only $25 rp each person (assuming shared equally), so personally i don't see why people go out on the whole "i lost respect for you" **** train

It's not about the money, it's about my team. My team isn't one that takes forfeits if given the chance. We've dealt with forfeits in the past, we ALWAYS give the other team the optimum amount of time before they decide on their forfeit. In fact, we've given a team EXTENDED time, PAST tournament due time, to get their match in with us.

This tournament was no different. We are running around between various tournaments, so yes, we are known as TFR more than just MOBAFire, it wasn't something created just for MOBAFire's beta test tournament.

The point is you don't like when someone questions you and your decisions, so you need to show it publicily, hoping for them to see it and give a long letter consisting "Sorry"?
Vell thought, indeed. Yah, I'm so crazy to say this.

i was using the money to sort of explain my confusion as to why theres a level of "waah you guys did this you guys suck" occuring in this tournament

like I've said though, one team being mad at you isn't going to affect your reputation as a team in general or as a person in general. no matter what tournament you'll be in, I can guarantee one team will argue over another person because of circumstances, where it be in game or pregame, or even without a game ever going to occur

these sort of things you just have to learn to accept. if you let them have chances and they ****ed it up, you know this. if they choose to make it seem like you just went "omg they cant make it forfeitforfeitforfeitforfeit" then that shows that they as a team is just *****y / can't accept defeat regardless of what circumstances have happened

I don't really know how to explain it, but one little event isn't going to exactly harm your reputation in any way, especially when it comes to the bigger picture. People forfeit in tournaments all the time because of mistakes on their part (in this case, the time). They just have to accept it.

I take my team seriously and I take responsibility for how my team acts. All of my members will be respectful and I am the same. You ask Jebus McAzn, when we played them, though it was pretty one sided, we didn't downplay them, we acknowledged their mistakes and gave them tips to improve.

We are the kind of team that WANTS to play every match. But forfeits DO happen, and we can't just go "no, we can't take the forfeit, we'll forfeit ourselves". Then what does the other team do? Yeah. Same thing back and we now have two teams forfeited.

Adonikam had his chance to repent when my teammate gave him reasons for forfeiture, but he continued to ignore, so as of right now my stance on this matter is not changed. If that's really how these MOBAFire tournaments are going to be, then we'll just be how you want us to be. No advice, all you get is a GG, and we'll be strict with the meeting times.

Thing is, bigger events will eventually hit MOBAFire, and to have this kind of thing happen during the small stages is uncalled for. You're right, forfeits happen, but Adonikam can't see how it is. That's the whole point of this thread, so he can realize it; I don't even need a response from him, I just need him to know that he ****ed up and that I'm serious.

If I PM'd him I doubt he would take it seriously, seeing how he already lost his respect for me.

For someone who hasn't 1) seen our team in action 2) been in our team chat 3) heard the entire conversation, he had no right to make the claims he did in the first place, which snowballed into other tournament players writing the same thing about our team without any background knowledge about it.

Since the tournament is so aptly named "Beta tournament" my advice (and to anyone) in the tournament would be to use this tournament as a base of what you should learn when it comes to all the setup pregame and dealing with your progress/loss after the game.

If something is happening in a small tournament like this - this gives you a simple idea of the things that happen, and you should use this tournament to learn to deal with these things. Be thankful it's a small tournament in preparation for the bigger thing, learn to be strict with your timing and getting your team ready as a whole.

Infact, everyone should be happy you have the ability to actually be flexible. Bigger tournaments will NOT let you be flexible with their rules. You abide by them, or you don't compete.

There'll always be mind games on tournaments to kick the other teams off balance. That's how I see those actions at least...

Imho, you did a proper answer to them in the tournament thread (June 9, 2011 6:51am) and I think you shouldn't extend above it. As you said, you gave them more options to do the match-up and it was impossible to comply with it.

I'm fairly sure that you wouldn't lose the respect of your teammates just because of something an "outsider" said. If you are a good captain, the team will continue respecting you and this will cause no dent (i'm saying if cause I never played with you and I honestly dunno if you're good or bad).

Beefing up the drama will get this discussion nowhere. My advise? Rise above it all :)

EDIT: And as Jet said, it's a "beta" tournament. Purpose is to learn and fix possible problems that may come up in future tournaments. This is a learning trip for MOBAfire :)
50. Most importantly, yes, they Have Baron warded. No, I don't want to go for him at the moment.

I didn't lose the respect of my teammates, because my teammates know what happened. Adonikam on the other hand... spreading false rumors... making other people believe them...

I think that's a term called libel.

And my actions are done with this thread. I'm just going to ignore what Adonikam or other people have to say in response because, well, they really can't make much sense out of it unless it's an apology.

I won't be posting here anymore, so yeah.
