Vamp Scepter is a better start since it saves you money when buying wriggles.

Okay, after testing this all day, this is how I managed a standard (blue - wolves - wraiths - red - mini golems) route done:
1/19/10 masteries
Arpen marks, armor seals, MR glyphs, AD quints
Flash/smite
QWQE (I tried EWEQ but I couldn't get a standard route done. Someone using aspd blues says it's possible with EWEQ, but I can't afford those right now)
Clear time w/o leash: 4:45
this might not be optimal but it was the only way I could get it done without buying new runes :/

You should NOT be using defensive masteries beyond the 6armor on GP (unless 1/8/21, but I'll have to see how that works).

that clear was with cloth armor/5hp. Also, this is a really poor route, as even with a leash I was low health most of the time. Basically the only route I could find to be viable was the stonewall route, except I actually prefer to skip wraiths, go straight to mini golems then do red when my smite is up. It's a really slow route though, upwards of 5 minutes. I used vamp scepter and 21/0/9 masteries for the stonewall route.

He finished at 3:4X with an extra potion.
That means that a vamp scepter probably won't be necessary. GP's early game DPS in the jungle is probably amazing.
