creating helpful guides for the League of Legends community.
1: switch the summoner spell part, start with recommended and finish with non-viable ones.
2: Cloak and dagger is bad. It's better to get mercury treads and another phantom dancer, this cost you more gold, but you get so much more in return
otherwise a good job and I will surely try it out
There are already some posts stating that this guide is a troll, yet it has 5 positive votes. I see a number of things that scare me as a Shaco player, and as one reading a guide intended for people learning how to play him effectively. I'm going to vote down, and I'd like to explain why. These suggestions are not meant to be offensive, rather to motivate you to rework some of this so it can be an effective guide for current Shaco players and newbies alike.
1) Readable (or not, in this case)
Please read this "sentence" out loud to yourself. On top of it being difficult, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make :(
2) Items
Items like
This last is particularly scary. Up to this point the only survivability you've built is lifesteal and spell vamp, while stacking AD. IE will allow you to burst for a milisecond and then instantly die. Also sadly, Hallucinate is largely useless as a decoy against competent players.
3) Skills and Summoners
You state that
While Exhaust and Ignite is a great recipe for early game first blood, it will gimp you late game. Given that the guide seems to be implying a Lane Shaco, Flash is a must. I know that we have one built in, but it seals the deal and allows for kills/escapes you can't get otherwise.
4) Early and Mid-Game
I disagree outright - Shaco has terrific damage early game. Deceive (100% crit) plus the Backstab passive gives him one of the nastiest opening consistent damage in the game.
Being an Assassin also implies that you can survive after getting those kills (ideally). Your guide has few, if any, items that will allow you to jump in, do significant damage, and leave. Most often, squish Shaco guides will result in an instant death the moment you show your face in a teamfight (decoy or not).
5) Maps
I hear you with Twisted Treeline being an ideal map for Shaco, but your guide just isn't designed for it. The games tend to be shorter, and the chance that you will actually finish PD, Hextech, IE, and TriForce in a 3v3 game is very low.
Conclusion:
If this guide is a troll, so be it, but these are just a few of the issues that should really be addressed.
All the best,
Tol
Well i won't disagree on the fact that the guide is imperfect, however i had no intentions of making a troll guide and seeing from the current feedback i haven't failed that bad... everyone has his own unique way of playing Shaco..i'm just sharing the way i'm playing with him..i've scored lots of kills and if i lose games with Shaco it's only because of bad internet connections..i will respect your feedback and the fact that you actually commented is something i appreciate. This guide is mostly for 5v5 however i just pointed out the fact that a 3v3 map is better for Shaco.
P.S. sorry if it took me a while to post i was on vacation. Thanks for the feedback once again and i'll try to clear up some things in the future
