Did you try it? Attack speed builds are really good for Jax, making them naturally anti-tank because of Madred's and quite painful due to fast combos and on hit effect items. Also, take note that, despite not utilizing your passive, you are a pain in the neck. You can easily take down several players. Despite it being the build that I don't use much, it is easily played by my friend who uses this build as Jax, giving him a great early and mid game. The only setback is that late game, he would have more and more problems as time goes on.
Thanks, that guy was trolling my builds cause I flamed his :P
Anyway thanks for explaining my point to him.
If you have seen my comment, can you reply? Thanks :)
Bad build. No Trinity Force? No Banshee's? Those items should ALWAYS be after Guinsoo/Hextech. Another thing that's also important to Jax is Doran Blade stacking. That's the original build that made him seen as playable again. Not this Doran Ring start ****.
Oh yeah, forgot to reply to you about this one...
Moron please? You seriously think that you should ALWAYS get the same items? What you just said was that five out of the six items in your build are not optional. I don't see how you can play this game and still say that. Every game is different. Some games I don't even bother with finishing off my hextech gunblade early on and just build straight AP items for massive burst (for instance, tryndamere's ulti doesn't work well if he gets dropped from 500 HP to 0 in less then a second). You never know what you might be facing, so don't go trolling people for not having the same build every game that you in your epic nubness decide to use. Please, go play trundle if this is all you're gonna do. At least then you're trolling would be acceptable...
And Doran's blade stacking... WTF?
If you bothered looking carefully, Nashor's Tooth only has 30 more AP and 25% CDR better than Malady, whereas Malady has its passive magic shredding, which leads to decently higher damage from your ult's passive. Also, it has additional magic damage on hit, as well as being 1k cheaper. Nashor's Tooth is great, admitingly, but it still is not as good when compared to Malady. The 25% CDR isn't that great (After a single empower combo, you should be able to hit faster than if you empower, in which case CDR isn't that useful, as only a little bonus damage is available.
Malady may not be an end game item, but its still great for a mid game item.
I have tested the mechanics of Jax. Empower Leapstrike was elaborated on, as being GOOD, but not GREAT harrassment. You can get in 2 extra hits if you Leapstrike hit empower hit.
If you looked at the Situational items section, you'll find Trinity Force as the biggest Must Have item there. However, it is a ton to farm for, which is why I exclude it out of my attack speed build. In a way, you can put Trinity Force as a replacement for PD, but instead, it is reorderable. Thanks for mentioning it :) I'll reorder some of my items and make way for Trintiy
Other then that I thought it was a good guide. You did a decent to fantastic job on explaining the different sections, and the build was good with the exception of malady. If you fixed some of those areas it'd be a +1, but I'm not gonna bother voting on it since I didn't even give you time to think about what I said before voting. I think that's the nicer thing to do instead of killing your guide with downvotes.
I DO actually hope this helps btw, I don't like seeing other peoples work coming to nothing.
If you like flaming other's builds, at least accept criticism. It works wonders on making people pacified and no longer annoyed, but at least happy that there isn't pure ******s on the playing field.
Lets go through an overall of how much I hate you, with the items I get.
Trinity Force : Noob. The best part of trinity is the sheen effect. The slow barely helps, the attack speed doesn't seeing you can get maxed attack speed easily if you rush some better items. It all leaves Sheen. If you like it so much, build a Lich Bane. Its like, way better than Trinity.
Banshee's Veil : Lame. Ever heard of Equipment Mastery? I devoted an entire chapter to it. You don't need the mana from Banshee. The passive isn't that great. To stop stuff like Karthus's ult, use your own. It gives MR based on dodge chance. What is the chances of someone like Karthus unable to even waste your banshee before ulting? Most of the time, Banshee's Veil gets stopped before the main nuking comes. Ever seen a Veigar use Primordial blast on a Banshee Veil target? No? Get a brain. Its passive is great, but its not reliable.
Doran Blade stacking. OK. 5 Doran blades provide 500 base hp, 50 damage and 15% lifesteal. Equipment Mastery provides an additional 150 hp from Doran Blade. Total cost + Tabi : 3225.
Lets see this then.
Doran Ring + Ninja Tabi + Hextech Revolver + Vampiric Scepter
475 + 850 + 1200 + 450 = 2975
What it does
100 base hp (Doran) + 55 AP (Doran + Hextech) + Lifesteal and Spellvamp
Total hp = 210
Difference :
Doran Build : A lot of lifesteal (You can get something called a Vampiric scepter), 50 damage (BF sword) and 650 hp total. None of your skills help lifesteal besides Relentless assault for attack speed and empower for 1 time reset attack animation. End game items : 1
Hextech Rush Build : Basic needs in game all covered. Less health and slightly less damage for upper advantage mid game. Lifesteal/Spellvamp leaves you almost always alive.
End game items : 1 and a half
Finish almost all Jax's core items.
