I've read none of those books apart from half an Artemis book.
I've no idea of if the other books are good or not.

I'm going to bump this just because I was looking for it for a while, and finally found it on page 7. Hopefully it will be of use to someone else.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I'm not really sure what category you would consider it but the series is REALLY good.
