I've been meaning to try some fantasy fiction for a while now, and that actually looks pretty good. I'll most likely buy it later in the week. I've not really read many fiction books - but I LOVE fantasy in general, and maybe one of them will seal the deal. Maybe I've not read many because I've not found any good ones... I read the complete Narnia collection as a child and loved those.

I'm not much for reading. I lose interest quickly. So if I've read a whole book without giving up you can be pretty sure it's interesting ;)
The only books I've read lately have been 1984, Of Mice and Men and the Tales of the Otori trilogy (haven't finished the last book tho).
Tales of the Otori is a fantasy trilogy containing:
Across the Nightingale Floor
Grass for his Pillow
Brilliance of the Moon
1984-George Orwell
Loved it. The only thing I didn't love about the book was the ending. I would have liked a rebellious ending more.
Of mice and men by John Steinbeck belongs in that list too. Also a book I loved.
Animal Farm might also belong in the list. Great story.

its a great read, unfortunately the show isnt keeping up with the book... skips around quite a bit.
EDIT:
deltora quest series author is Emily Rodda
its definately a bit old... and im not entirely it should be up there on the list with those heavy hitters, but im sure you can peruse amazon and find the entire collection for cheap.
worth a read if you're into fantasy, but it is geared towards the younger audience of scholastic books.
