High Fantasy

The Belgariad - David Eddings
A young boy is raised by his Aunt in a simple kitchen. But when Mister Wolf comes to visit again, his whole life is turned upside down as he ventures out on a perilous quest to fix the world's wrongs... and somehow it all revolves around him.

The Quickening Trilogy - Fiona McIntosh
Witch hunting is dying down, but the king is too weak to refuse to burn a witch, and her powers bend the fabric of life and death for one young man.

Wheel of Time Series - Robert Jordan
The life of a simple farm boy is turned upside down when he comes into his powers, and the taint of the male form of magic slowly drives him insane.

Dark Fantasy

Night Angel trilogy - Brent Weeks
Becoming a wetboy (an assassin) is the only card left for this orphan streetboy to take. He cannot raise Dollface on his own. He has no choice but to ask an apprenticeship from the most revered assassin in all the lands.

Teen Fiction/Real Life

Nineteen Minutes - Jodi Picoult
What happens when years of abuse and bullying finally makes a high school teenager snap?

I had them arranged and then gave up and removed the categories.

I was curious what y'all like to read, since I'm an avid reader of books in general.

Will add yours right away tho

Yeah, I did like the categories because it was easier to pick out a book from a genre you were into...
now its just a big list.
not so much help and more of a chore to do the research on each one to find out what it is.

i would be down to help sort into categories since it would be a big hassle for just one person.
depending on how many more get posted we could get a few more people to help sort em and divide it up equally and then add all of our small lists w/ genres into one master copy for Nameless to post up

Many thanks to Canoas for my epic sig

^^ I like this idea.
I can do fantasy easily enough.

To whoever does sci-fi: The Dragonriders Pern is sci-fi, even though it has fantasy elements (the dragons are genetically engineered by space colonists from earth).

well, what I was thinking was taking the existing list and the people that were willing to organize it could just take half of the list. then you find what that books genre is and organize it.

once they both get posted you can edit the first post and combine them into their right list (since im sure both people organizing will have some from fantasy given the amount of fantasy posted)

Many thanks to Alexanpt for my epic sig

If I helped you at all, +Rep
