haha yeah, make sure sigs in the future are at max 500w x 200h - this allows for people to have three lines of text above or below the image :)

This is what you should be doing (believe me, it's sooooo much easier than resizing at the end):
1) Open the file they want you to make a sig out of
2) Open a new blank file, dimensions 500w x 200h
3) Select with the box tool, what you'd like to put in their sig
4) ctrl+c selected box, and ctrl+v onto blank file
5) Move selected box around on the blank file until it sits how you want it to
Voilà! No need for resizing, you're not editing the original image, so you always have a back up ^^

I'm still learning with GIMP...This is day 2 XD
I'll get it down though. The text tool feels archaic lol. And the fact I can't increase the font size, only scale it sucks too. PLUS I need to DL more fonts. But ty Wrath I appreciate the comments :)
IDK how it works in GIMP, but the canvas resize is in photoshop
and if you drag text larger, that increases the font size...
