Notice how most of the people who main supports don't like the support playstyle atm.

While all the other players avidly support it.

This is the point I am trying to make here.

The people who main supports are the ones who avidly play them, yet the current playstyle is not based on what they want to do, despite them being the people who are actually playing supports.

This is a team game, learn to share. If the ~2 minions I kill every other creep wave effects your farm that much don't lane with me, seriously. I'm not going to spoil my game so you can have ~40 extra gold every minute. I can work with the farm I get with any champ: carry, tank, support...It doesn't matter.

The ability to adapt and being good at what you do marks someone as a good player, not some predetermined playstyle.

And you're totally missing the point --.--

Every MOBA game since DotA has had a "babysitting" role. It just makes sense for your carry to be more farmed than you. Where's beeread when you need him, he is a straight support player and he will feed anyone that lanes with him CS and yet still be the full fledge support throughoutout the whole game with just 3 items. Support don't need farm

Most supports I know get mad if you even miss 1 CS in a wave. . I've seen supports request a lane change because the person they are feedin CS fails at last hitting an doesn't want them to go to waste. But instead of taking the CS themselves, they aak for someone to switch lanes. They know the CS will pay off way more on someone else than themselves. If you play support, you know feeding CS comes hand in hand with the role. Don't call yourself a main supporter if your not doing the absolute most to "support" your team.

You watching the tourney, Nameless? Ashe v Tristana. Tristana pushed waves, got all the creeps, Ashe was always out of lane, recalling etc.

Tristana got Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, Quicksilver Sash and Zerk's when Ashe only had Zerk's, Zeal and Infinity Edge.

Just saying, a fed carry is better than a fed support.

Maybe the supports you get stuck with just suck :/

Let's not forget the lane was Alistar Tristana :P

Alistar always OP no matter what.

The League of legends community in USA only fairly recently began to fully funnel gold into AD carries bot lane.

Needs more questions but..

Question 1:
I play supports...
A. As much as possible

So much as possible that I've resorted to first picking supports in ranked when my team doesn't want me to pick a champion for them.

Question 2:
Your stand on the No CS Support playstyle:
E. If you build/play supports any other way you're a terrible player who should uninstall the game.

Gold items exist for a reason. They are designed so you can get your items while you maximize the gold income for your partner who most likely has a build that costs 10k more than yours.

Question 3:
If When you very rarely or never play supports don't play support what type of champion do you usually play:
B. AP carry

Question 4:
You notice your support building is AP items you...
A. Chew them out and tell them how bad of a player they must be.

Kages only exception. Kages doesn't count as an AP item.

Question 1:
B Regularly

Question 2:
F I like it! I'm bad at cs in lane, so playing support and jungle is my way of playing at a high level without having to worry about the mechanics stuff that would drag me down. I practice carries sometimes, but at high-level play, I ALWAYS play support or jungle. I support the practice, as farm IS more important for the carry in this meta. Period.

Question 3:
N/A I main support. But I also jungle frequently. And most of the jungles are tank/melee dps

Question 4:
B Unless I'm playing pre-made. Then I chew them out. 'cuz I know them. xP Even though I might chew out a random a liiiiittle. Unless they're Soraka maybe... or something that had some sense. Or if our ad carry bot is horribad and couldn't use the **** anyway. Basically, if they aren't being ******ed.

Honestly, I don't really understand WHY people don't like playing support in the current meta. If they say it's boring, they probably aren't doing enough, or are like the nub carries who only give a **** about kills. The main job of supports in the current meta is utility and SIGHT. I honestly think it's quite fun because you can focus on the entire map instead of on each little cs. You play the entire map. You tell people what to watch out for. You're the first line of defense if your team lacks the map awareness to see or KNOW something themselves. If you're a great support, you must know a lot. You must know jungle paths, and the mind of a jungler so you can guess where they are. You must know when your specific set of abilities can save lives. You must keep track of everything. That's why it's fun for me. You play the whole game, and not just the lane.

p.s. And if you're a good support... you won't feed because they won't be able to reach you...

p.p.s. for all those who hold that a support should have ABSOLUTELY 0 CS, I doubt your team is so good that they will never be out of position to get every single last hit. Rule of thumb: if no one else can get it, take those last hits. If the person with you SUCKS at getting cs, I wouldn't bother making them switch, though (assuming no one else is having cs trouble)... they'll suck in any other lane, too... I'd just get that cs. Better to have money than to not have money.

Since I was making my own point, it's kind silly to say that.

I get what you're saying, but what I'm saying is that having fun is far more important than doing what people think is "good".

So you can say that I am bad for wanting having fun, but I don't care.

Fun=/=good, lawl. Please never make that connection unless you think it's fun to win.

If I want fun I'd stack Hextech Gunblade on Sivir or Kog Maw or Morde >:3
Hextech es #1
