If the enemy has a CV:
I always make a break for top if I'm going bot.
If I'm going mid, I run towards top.
If I'm going bot, I also run towards top.
When I get to the base edge, I make a 160 and go back to the proper route. :)

This really only is needed in solo queue, with premades you can just all run mid and invade fast :)
I'm back!

9 times out of 10, you'll catch those just about to be out of sight range, know where they're headed, and see if they're all protecting their jungler or not. If they aren't then you can get your team to group up near their blue in the river and initiate a second cv in that area. if the jungler isn't there at all, you can get your team to sit in the bush and either A: see if he starts there by walking into your team and giving you first blood, or B: take his blue buff and screw up his early jungle route.
If you do plan on doing that there is a chance that their team did the same in your jungle. If the enemy team also has CV this is typically a horrible plan, but otherwise if you have the better level 1 team it can be very rewarding.
This is just one of many pre 2:20 strategies imo though.
