An Idea for Soraka

[/quote] But if you want to do that it kind of undermines the purpose of supporting an AP carry and building auro items, if you have no one else to benefit from these auras. If you solo lane with Soraka, there are much better items to buy that would make you more effective and last longer. Building cheaper aura items might make your effectiveness fall off and you fall behind the two you lane with, and die. Why not something like; Soraka and AP Carry bot while letting AP carry get all or most the farm, AD carry mid, Jungle Tank (Amumu or something) and solo top off-tank like Jarvan? The team setup isn't perfect, but you get the idea. I'm not the best at determining perfect team synergy within the current meta, but this is just an example of something you can do. If you want to try this idea, building Soraka as an aura support to support the AP carry, then she will NOT be a carry herself because there are much better items she could build. Sure, with all her assists and later game she can build a Rabadons or something after a few aura items and become even more effective for late game but still if you want to do this and make it effective you have to use the mindset of ehr still being support, which I still believe to be viable. It just has a different twist and playstyle on it now.[/quote]

But my point is, if you're looking for an AP carry, there are stronger and more powerful damage dealers. The way she is now, she is still part-support and part-carry. I'm not saying this aura support soraka is the best thing, but it has potential to be effective. It's the same support and carry bot idea that gives three lanes solo farm, just revamped a bit to fit more since the nerf. Soraka will still be viable this way, but focusing more on boosting damage of her and the ap carry while still having a little heal and mana sustain and damage as well.[/quote]

I've played against her and seen what those people were capable of using her to do. But this is, after all, theory crafting thread and I'm just spouting out ideas. lol And I was thinking more of stuff like Abyssal Scepter, Will of the Ancients, Soul Shroud, ect mixed in with other items to still allow her strong AP and survivability. Rylais with starcall to slow down fleeing enemies? No magic resist because of Abyssal and Starcall stacking? Like I said, it may not be the best, but it could turn out to be effective. It's hard to say in just straight theorycrafting without testing it out in different ways. But this is what Theorycrafting is for, a place to discuss new and different ideas. By the way, I think I played a game with you once where you were Sivir and had some skin on her. lol Did pretty damn good. lol[/quote]
