Generally what the title says. In my Talon guide, i am now in the process of implementing a extensive guide on gameplay. As it is already, the guide is somewhat long, but if i put in the gameplay section in full, its going to be a long guide (possibly excessively long).
The reason it is long is well its going to be detailed and many people seem to like to build (and hence argue) that Talon is a bruiser. So i've decided to implement quite a long section about assassins, roaming and whatnot. Would this be too of topic?
I've always been a man of quality over quantity, but in this case it seems like i need to implement both possibly to the point of redundancy. ATM I am just trying to tighten the writing and attempting to shave of some fat...You can view guide through profile.

Actually not that bad. I didn't read in detail, but it doesn't seem too long.

Just a note on what you wrote about Atma's Ipaler: It's not a "no go" it's a very good item on ANY champion who needs armor and crit in lategame. It gives a ton of stats for the price.
I'm a strong independent black mage who don't need no mana.

Yeah I should rephrase the whole section there specifically about the atmog's combo rather than somewhat dissing the individual items by themselves.

However, upon further consideration it makes sense to label atma's as a situational item since it kinda transitions well if initially the B.F sword was used to purchase an infinity's edge. So i suppose would make sense if it works well within the mid-late game, under suitable circumstances.
Yes, that sounds good now XD

Every once in a while you will run into some ***hat (I LOVE this word!) just trying to make up a reason to downvote and they can use "too much detail" as their excuse to -1 you. Happened to me. But I would rather have too much info than not near enough.
Did I manage to assist you in any way? Hook me up by hitting that nifty +Rep button.

All guides have been archived due to my not being able to play LoL currently. The information is still there and is good but until I return they will be archived. I am able to keep them updated and current though.

Well, I've seen a few guides that are just INCREDIBLY LONG. There's a limit to how long a guide can get without including irrelevant info.
Being short and concise is a good skill. More info per line of text can't be bad.

There are quite a few guides that are way too long for their own good and they all include irrelevant/obvious info.
I can mention it in PM if you wanna see them. I don't wanna call anyone out.

Depend the taste of the reader I guess. I am all for long guide but that's just me. A way to make it viable for both group of people(like-it-long and like-it-short) is to have a short conclusion after a long explanation just so the like-it-short people can read that.

If your guide exceeds 10,000 words or 60,000 digits, you may be pushing it.

A guide writer can only ask of so much patience and attention from a reader~

I used my guide as a medium. My top two are about 4500~5000 words with over 25000+ digits each.

I think that guide is a pretty awesome length. I usually tend to keep my more succinct with bullets and stuff, but it's really all just preference. The format is also surprisingly nice to read. Makes it a lot more enjoyable and "shorter" to read. Good ****.

I say there's no such thing as too much detail if you include a very concise summary, and your organization is good.
