No not really. She's basically one of his hardest counters in lane.

There's almost literally nothing he can do.

And she's not gonna wait till he has his ult to start kicking his ***. It happens right from level 1.

You get zoned or boned if the Akali is decent.

I think Atmas is the best dps item for him.. he's one of the rare pure tanks in lol, and should be played like one. Triforce is just lackluster and too expensive for his role!

Going pure tank can let you get kills because Malphite hits like a truck with his abilites. And also lets you get away with that because he's rock solid. Tank Malphite is the best way to deal damage and survive.
