First off, I'd like to say that the Dominion functionality on this site is working really well. Just throwing in my two cents.

Now, I made my Singed guild back in beta and I posted on this site a little over a year ago. Today I played a game of Dominion and after winning the game I came on here to update my guide...

I changed part of the title to "Classic & Dominion" and added a second Singed build to the guide with promote and Priscilla's in it. I then added a new (and long) chapter dedicated to talking about the dominion build and how to play Singed in Dominion.

Now, the problem is that the site automatically tries to label the guide with both builds as "Dominion" and even if I try to label it as "Champion", it seems to be classifying it as "Dominion" anyways. In fact, as of the time of me posting this, I think i might be the only one with a Dominion filter on the site atm? The issue I have is that it completely removes me from the "Singed" list of guides completely, almost as if it's considered expired. My 2nd Dominion build is basically the same as my classic build except it has a few twists. I'd like to keep the title(s) the same regardless.

Should I just cut out the new build and text and make an independent Dominion Singed guide? Is anybody else having the same issue? Is there a proper way of posting current and new guides that the Mobafire community or mods are deciding on?

special insight from the Vet forums discussing the Dominion update:

I think if you're going to build a champ for classic and then just have a little bonus section about dominion, you should probably not include dominion items in the build anyways. If you are going to write two full guides, one for classic one for dominion, you should probably post them separately?

So my thinking right now is to stick with this - force it one way or the other based on any classic-only or dominion-only items, and if you include both I will side towards dominion and possibly also display a warning at the top of your guide.

Will have to give it a little more thought though.

Thanks to TRUeLM, Plastictree, Scrax, Xiaowiriamu, foggy12, JahGFX, jhoijhoi, msrobinson, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, MissMaw, and me :) for the sigs!

The fact that you do not show up on Singed's page is a bug, you should still show up there. I will resolve this. You will likely show up there with an indicator showing that you are a dominion guide.

Beyond that, the automatic forced to Dominion feature is there to ensure users can more easily find the guides they are looking for. If you think it should be changed, we'd be happy to hear from you.

I think it currently shows up on the singed list that pops up when you click the hotlink on the bottom of every mobafire page, but not on the other page where classic singed guides are concerned. I'm sure you guys will work it out but it's not that big of a deal if i'm popping up on the former. I was just a little confused, after saving and publishing and searching for my guide on different lists.

I don't mind posting them separately, but it's basically the same item build I've been using for two years with one added Dominion item and spell, you know? I'll wait to see what the other older higher rated guides do, if they decide to come back and update. I'll just leave my guide as it is right now. It primarily showing up as a Dominion guide sounds kind of fun, atm.

The system works great in advance though, so I appreciate the groundwork you guys have put in place and I'm sure if will be easy for you guys to adjust things once Dominion hits.

EDIT - The guide seems to be showing up as classic for the most part. Thanks if you put any work into it. Maybe it just needed a little bit time to update itself in the database after I tweaked the guide several times yesterday.

Just do what I did. ^^
Make a section within your original guide for Dominion exclusively.
