Shen or Taric better tank?

I know you can look at pro and cons in each guide individually BUT if you want to compare all tanks in one section like shen > taric etc pro and cons, someone should do this. I would certainly make one with peoples helps n tips etc BUT i dnt really know how to work these guide making skills lol :([/quote]

Soraka's passive gives an MR aura, does that make her a tank? NO! Taric's heals and auras are his strongest attributes (even his ult is an aura), while Shen's tankiness, taunt and survivability make him a strong pick. Taric is also usually built with SUPPORT items (gold/10, CDR, auras) while Shen is built with TANK items (with a bit of AP since his buff). Shen has support traits, but he is not a support. I got what you've said, I'll make a list of what I think of each role: Support: Heal, shield and aura Tank: Defense and disable Mage: AP and MPen Fighter: AD and APen These are the basic "classes", there are a lot more, but I dont want to write things that arent related to the point. Checking the list, both Taric and Shen can be support and tank. Taric has heal and aura, but his aura gives defense and he has a disable. Shen has shield, kind of a heal, defense and disable. imo building a tank Taric isn't wrong, just like building tank Alistar. Building support Shen may not be that viable, so no one does it. Shen on the other hand is simply not a viable support, without minion kills he'll just end up feeding. Per se; the terms support, tank, mage and AD carry are often defined depending how viable the champion is at these roles.[/quote]
