Very good guide on AD Sion good build 2.
I made a guide for AP Sion, get my cooldown reduction from golem masterys and elixer, and situational DFG. Since i think you need your money more for the initial burst then for constantly doing half the dmg spells.

Good guide, will try it out. However, wouldn't an item like Frozen Mallet or Warmogs be good too?

Thanks for the +ve feedback guys, i think dfg is so good on sion, esp AP; his CDs are very important on a team with little cc. As you say, it doesn't really fit AD Sion because of the way DPS is calculated, losing one part (AD, AS, Crit) means you lose a disporportionate amount of DPS!

I don't think Frozen mallet is necessary; with AS of 2.4 when using Youmuu's and 1.9 when not; 1/4 of attacks will slow by 35% when using Tri Force so if you can hit them with a stun and then attack you should be able to keep them permanently slowed.

i feel warmogs isn't necessary; it only adds 20ish AD off your Atma's and Armour and MR synergise better with your ult's lifesteal. thanks for the feedback! :)

Great guide! Well thought out, very detailed, I am curious as to what do you do if a Teemo or Heimerdinger blind you. That takes out a good majority of your physical dmg and it ruins your Trinity Force procs. Can't wait for a response and I love the guide.

as with all melee champions AD Sion is vulnerable to blinds, teemo's 4 second blind is a *****. fortunately with this build you are reasonably tanky and less vulnerable than for example an ashe or a yi. you will just have to stun their main source of damage and rely on your team to put the damage on them. use your shield to keep as much damage off you as possible and hit ghost if they focus you. fortunately sion fulfils the offtank role well so you should have at least 2 other strong carries who can put the DPS out if you're cc'd, just as you can if they're cc'd.

if that teemo keeps singling you out for a blinding then turn your negatron clak into a quicksilver sash and next time he points his pipe at you and blinds you, whip your sash off and put your axe into his face. CLEAVE.

thanks for the positive feedbacl :)

the best way to counter a teemo who keeps singling you out for a blinding is to turn your negatron clak into a quicksilver sash and next time he points his pipe at you and blinds you, whip your sash off and put your axe into his face. CLEAVE.

Ever considered playing him more AP like at first? My skillorder is W(Q)-Q(W)-W-E-W-R-W-Q-W-Q-R-Q-Q-E-E-R-E-E, basically R > W > Q > E with a point into E at Lvl 4. I feel that I'm a lot stronger early-mid game (survivability, farm and killing power). Maxing E first gives you 10 more damage per Level. The additional health it grants isn't that great either. Getting Q second because it reduces its cooldown ;) Just try it once and you'll know if it fits your playstyle.

Anyways, I agree with your itembuild, however you don't really have to rush Trinity Force imo. Sometimes early defense is just better.

Btw, I use 11/0/19 as my masteries, reducing my cooldown and increasing my mana regen ...

This is extremely well done. The only thing I have as criticism is that Merc Treads aren't in your main build. As tanky DPS, you're subject to a lot of CC, so I think that passing up Merc Treads is a mistake. In addition, you won't have to worry as much about passing the attack speed cap. 2.1 isn't too noticeable of a difference from 2.4.

The detail in this guide is incredible. The graph was a phenomenal addition, and you have a significant amount of math to back up your claims.

My only suggestion is to consider a Spirit Visage, if only for the situational items. If you need the CDR (which might not be the case, I didn't check), it also gives health and heals you for more from Cannibalism.

you raise an interesting point about maxing Q before E. At first thought I would aim to max E first because when you pick up your zeal, the extra AS should multiply with the AD from Enrage to give much higher DPS. I agree that the difference in health due to farm won't be much, probably 50 - 100 health. That said, you could just be increasing your DPS by more by maxing W first. I will try it out and see how they compare.

Thanks for the +ve feedback!

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF DOWNVOTING, PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY. I HAVE WEIGHED UP THE PROS AND CONS OF AD SION ABOVE, PLEASE DON'T DOWNVOTE BECAUSE YOU PREFER AP; THEY ARE DIFFERENT STYLES.

Just had a couple games with this build. First one didnt go that well as I didnt really follow it. But the second one went a bit mad, normal game for sure, but I went 34-0-21. 1v5!! i mean sure my team slowly left after the first 10 minutes because I didnt need them, but I think the result would have been the same. PLUS to sweeeten the deal, I was killing them all at their pool thanks to the lifesteal. In other words this guide is flawless and the maths is brilliant. Ok, im just joking, but I do really like this build.. +1!
