Well, with this signature, I couldn't decide where the text should go, as there was too much going on in the background. I wrote your name in a text that "fitted" the image, and then made it large enough to be legible.
Then I moved it around the image to see where it looked the best.
I then chucked on a clipping mask (as you'll see), smudged it to get a uniform colour and slapped on a stroke the same colour as the blades for the outline.
You just have to keep working with the text until it suits the style you're looking for.
