But the Sun is a ball of incandecent gas. It's not even on fire.....
There's the core, the radiation zone, convection zone, photosphere, chromosphere, and the corona. Those things make up the sun, and if you see pictures of the sun, and I mean HIGH quality pictures you'll see that it actually looks quite graniulated. That's because all the energy, once it hits the convection zone, is being circulated. The hotter energy rises to the "surface" of the Sun cools, then sinks back down just to be heated once again. IT'S AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like me ^_^
