Okay, so i've been using this type of coding for my guide.
[ icon=w/e item i'm describing size=64 float=left ]w/e item i'm describing [ icon=w/e item i'm describing size=64 float=right ]
Description:
Elaboration:

And it usually turns into something like this:
Rabadon's Deathcap
Description: 140 Ability Power. UNIQUE Passive: Increased ability power by 30%.
Elaboration: An incredibly amazing item to help any champion with AP ratios do ridiculous damage. The earlier you get this item, the better. It helps you scale into late game very nicely.

the only difference is that Rabadon's Deathcap text used to center itself very nicely in the middle of the text below it without me entering [ center ][ /center ]. Now its just showing what you see above, and the Rabadon's Deathcap icons aren't on the left and right side of the overall text anymore. They kinda gang up on the description of the item, thus making the elaboration look more like a paragraph then a couple of sentences..

Do any of you have any idea how i can just have two large icons of the item on the left and right of the text, the name of the item centered above the description and elaboration, and the description/elaboration can be as long as i want it without it looking like a narrow paragraph? I dont understand why it was doing it perfectly earlier, and now it's just not cooperating with me. Could it be that the longer the description/elaboration, the more the coding changes? I've used jhoi's guide to coding skill descriptions/item descriptions and it's just not doing what it was before.

I've also tried using several other different types of coding, and they work perfectly and then the format just changes for some reason, it starts to look sloppy, and I have to find another way to display what I had going for me before. I don't understand why it keeps doing this and any support would be welcome. It's really annoying to have to find a different type of coding for every couple of item descriptions in my guide. I'm starting to just give up.

When Matt changes coding, it effects your guides only when you hit publish. Not sure if he's changed anything, or if that's the way it just works, but the easiest way to:

image - text - image

Is by using columns, like I did with all my guides. The float tool doesn't work for me when I have a lot of text, so I use columns which makes everything look neater.

EDIT: I had a look at your guide, and it looks fine to me?

?

Effect - result
Affect - result

Effect is used when something happens because of something else.
Affect is used when something happens in relation to feeling

The rain had a funny effect on the painting.
The rain affected John's sense of humor.

Edit: Unless I'm totally wrong. But that's how I've always known it to "work"

I've understood it as this,
As a rule of thumb -

Affect is present tense

Effect is past/future tense

"The cat got affected by the rain, it got all wet!"

"The effect of magnesium on calcium is sure to cause a reaction!" (Not sure if it will, first two elements I thought of)

So then we come down to whether "hit" is past/future or present text :P

Though I did say "changes", which is present, as opposed to "changed" which is past.

So, I'm guessing "affect" is right?

Affect and effect are probably the only English words I ever get confused over =.=

I'm not quite sure, my English language teacher said something like that, but I distinctly remember her mentioning that it was hard to explain, but that's how she remembered it, unless I've got them the wrong way round.

Same, Jhoi, I rarely get confused when it comes to words (I pride myself in good grammar and I try and use a large spectrum of vocabulary, though fail to get it in there a lot of the time), though they're a couple of exceptions :/

I'm sure most of the people I play with will tell you I'm a grammar Nazi, if you do find anything more about it, tell me - I'd love to be able to distinguish the two more adeptly.

Wow. Wtf are you guys smoking?

Affect=verb
Effect=noun

There are only a few instances where effect is used as a verb (to effect an evacuation). This is not one of them.

EDIT: To be fair, jhoi was close to something. There are instances in psychology where affect can be used as a noun. It's not something said in normal conversation though.

EDIT2: You'll notice that all of the examples you gave use "affect" as a verb and "effect" as a noun btw.

Well, Psi, sorry I made one mistake in the total of my 3800 posts ;) I realise my misuse of grammar is giving you adverse effects, or affecting your mindset, or even aefecttinng your feelings.
