That's what happens when you can't log on and still need some sort of LoL fix! :P
Besides, just started playing a few weeks ago and have been all over this site; figured it was time to reg an account and hopefully/eventually give back to this wonderful community.

Photoshop offers a wide range of features and manipulation options that GIMP, sadly, doesn't offer. However GIMP isn't bad for creating signatures, as many people don't even use a quarter of what Photoshop has to offer, so generally making a signature in both Photoshop or GIMP, there's not many drawbacks.
The only reason I use photoshop is because:
a) Most signature makers use it, hence more tutorials, and inspiration in terms of ideas
b) It's handy if there is a feature not accompanied in GIMP
c) I've had experience with it
Pointless moving to Photoshop if you've adapted yourself to GIMP, however if you want to experience more features, tools and capabilities, including a much wider range of tutorials through planetrenders, gamerenders etc. then try it ^_^
P.S Download the trial, and keep re-downloading it, its not necessarily pirating it, its just a loophole that someone fount, so Adobe at fault not you! however, if you're rich unlike me, buy it ^_^
Oh, and to answer your question. Yeah Photoshop can occasionally crash, it is annoying, we all know....but that's why you learn by your mistakes keep saving every 5~15minutes or 30minutes depending on whether major changes were made, or some lucky thing happened with the brush/filter that made your "piece" look 1337

Define adapted xD I have used GIMP for 2 almost 2 months, and have probably not used more than 30-40% of its capability. Switching to PS will probably not make such a big impact. Just have to find the PS answerto GIMP:S features. I'll try it out and find out how much I hate it before I decide :)
