Evening MobaFire. At the end of every year there is that feeling that time has been lost; you didn't do everything you wanted to do, some things or people got away from you and perhaps you're not quite happy about your accomplishments this year. That's kinda like how I feel right now. I made some ****ty decisions, but the point is, I know they were ****ty.

/// This blog is about my New Year Resolutions and how I plan to achieve them. In the comment section, perhaps you could share your own NYRs :)

Resolution One: Make a new friend every week. This may not seem to be important to some of you, but to me, friends are a very important aspect of my life. Over the last few months, I have made some seriously awesome friends (Wayne, Nick, Joes and Creamy amongst them) and maintained previous friendships. However, I lack "in real life" friends, mainly due to university ending for the year and lounging around in my apartment in the months that follow.

How can this be achieved?

[*] haha, you'd be surprised how friendly people can be on the public bus. Turning to the person next to you and saying hello can start a very pleasant conversation and stimulate your day.
[*] Sit next to someone in every tutorial and lecture I will attend next year. I do this already, but this year I will maintain these friendships I make.
[*] I totally want to participate in more university activities, like fates, fund raisers and fun outings like dining every second Friday in a different place in Brisbane. I also could join a few dancing classes, which will be awesome :D

Resolution Two: Get in shape. Every girl I know complains about their weight or the way they look. I know I'm not grotesquely obese, otherwise the masses of people shopping for Christmas would part before me like the Red Sea for Moses. I want to be toned and wear figure-hugging dresses like Beyonce and Nicki Minaj, who both have huge ***es, but still look good.

How can this be achieved?

[*] Joining the gym. Only $40 a month is not bad. I already donate $20 a month to the Wilderness Society and $40 a month to the Royal Children's Hospital, so if I can afford to save the rainforest and pay for cough medicine for children I don't know, I can afford to do something positive for myself.
[*] The most important thing to do is to attend the aforementioned gym :P I paid for a full year subscription during my first year of university, and that was a big mistake. I went like 3 times o.O Soooo bad D:
[*] teehee, attending all my university classes and lectures will help keep me active :P

Resolution Three: Do things next year that I should have done this year. That includes: going to the Village Markets every Saturday and supporting the local produce, getting a job as a dog walker again (best source of passive income and passive exercise EVER), attend events at the Brisbane Convention Centre that interest me (science shows, gaming conventions, writing conferences), and something that I told myself I'd do every Friday night, but never did: find a new empty parking lot, roll out a blanket and look at the stars.

How can this be achieved?

[*] Need to make a list :P And cross each thing off. We've already booked tickets to see Tim Minchin in Jan, so that's a huge step forward with getting my culture intake up.
[*] I need to keep to the routine. It takes 30 days to make a routine and only 1 day to break it. Must. Not. Break. The. Cycle.
[*] The best thing to keep you on a routine is someone to do it with you. As such, I'll be dragging Warlemming, Patch and Azrael Linx (my sister) around with me :)

So MobaFire, what are your New Year Resolutions? :)
