As for mages, I'd say that Veigar is definitely up there with the top few, though he kills one person and that's about it. Akali might be in there too.

Jax is still a strong champ. :P
The problem I find with Jax atm is that hes burst comes from auto-attacking which is relative slow (even with high att-speed, even with Empower to reset auto-attack) but the bright side is, Jax's burst is good on early/Mid/late game. Atleast that is my opinion about it. Still a fun champ
